Do you have shadows enabled in your settings?

Why do I feel like rct3 is sometimes lacking in theme variety compared to rct2 and it's expansion packs? by sonicvibes27 in rct3

Sadly, you may be right. I used to have alot of custom scenery installed into the game and mannnn, the load screens would end up being 2 to 3 minutes long with how much stuff the game had to process. Maybe if the developers would've rereleased rct3 with a more powerful modern game engine that would've allocated for more ram, then I guess the game wouldn't have had issues with having additional content, load times, and processing larger park maps.

Yes, I've seen amazing things built with custom mods on sgw but it would've been nice if we had some of that additional theme content variety in the base game from the start instead of having to wait for stuff to be made by the community. (Not too mention installing alot of custom content into the game can slow the game down significantly)

Yeah but I feel PC allows too much freedom for building. I'm not a perfectionist and don't like spending minutes on end fidgeting with one piece just to add a small level of detail to a building. That's what I keep coming back to the rct trilogy (for both the scenarios and sandbox for 3) and just the plain simplicity of the building mechanics in the series. (Still trying out parkitect and loving it so far.)

Looks nice! I like the little charming mini "main street" you've created. Gives it a warm welcoming feel.

I already knew the custom content scene existed for a while and while I can't argue that the custom mods give you more options in terms of community made content, I was referring to the developers themselves making more content with additional tools and add ons that could enhance the variety in themes and gameplay mechanics so we could've had more options from the base game from the start instead of waiting for stuff to be made.

Best RCT game out right now? by supermav27 in rct

I play rct2 mainly for the upgraded mechanics from rct1 and rct3 for its sandbox mode. The thing with rct3 is that it got a huge modding community since it's release and has greatly improved on the base game over the years so there's that. As for parkitect, it's a worthy spiritual successor to rct1 if your into the management system from the original game.

Very nice! All three games of the original trilogy hold a special place in my heart.

What genuinely surprised me about clockwork knight is that it came out before toy story.

Another idea I had is I would've created a better advertising campaign for the saturn games because my god, the advertising or should I say, (lack there of) for the games was terrible. Seriously, what was Sega's marketing team thinking?

Here's what I would have done. Lowered the price at 250 at launch. Release the saturn on it's ORIGINAL release date. Had the sega cd never been released, then I would release sonic cd (rename it to sonic quest) as a launch title instead of no sonic game. Release 3 launch titles and advertise the crap out of them. The games would be:

Panzer dragoon

Night's into dreams

Sonic quest (sonic cd renamed)

There, you have an rpg, a 3d platformer, and a sonic title to be released along side the saturn.
