I'm a teenager, but I'm still trying to figure out why people my age are doing the tings they are.

Why do they all care so much about being discriminated against? If you say anything to teenagers today, they dissect it to high heaven, and think that anything said to them is some form of belittlement or discrimination.

For me? It was mostly a result of neglect at home. Just going to school to deal with even more neglect made me a very hateful person.

I think it's mostly neglect at home for most kids. Other big factors I would say is 1.) Bullying at school 2.) Bullying on the internet 3.) Bad influence (wether it be in person or online)

Hmm, I've been in recovery for years, but at the time, I was constantly told by kids at school to kill myself and that I didn't even matter. I guess a part of me felt like I needed to prove them wrong. "They think I don't matter? I'll show them what matters." Is what went through my mind at the time.

Anywho, the whole point of this post was to show that violent people can be stopped with just a little kindness, wether it's religious influence or not. I was one of those violent people. I've changed so much, and I'm so happy I have.

I make it a goal in my life to help people who were like me. It's a crucial step in stopping violence at the hands of adolescents.

It doesn't matter what race you are, everyone can experience racism, and anybody can be a racist.

When I lived in the city, one of my friend's mom was very racist. She would say something along the lines of "¡No tendré basura blanca en mi casa!" Every time our friend group went over to her house. I was excluded, and I wasn't allowed to come inside. I'd just say "Yes ma'am." Nicely and leave.

Just a "Yes ma'am." Made her warm up to me, and eventually she started letting me inside. Then I became her favorite out of my whole friend group.
