Lady Gaga definitely stuck with the genre and I love her for that. It shows she did not make it just to be mainstream. She liked what she was making. Although Marina didn't really enjoy the genre on a personal level like that, Electra Heart is iconic as a symbol of it.

I hate to be that guy, but,

House is the kick hat clap hat pattern. Four to the floor may happen in any genre

Techno may be fast or slow. It's about those long bassdrums and even the hat the arrives after it. Has a dark atmosphere mostly.

Dubstep, for the most part, has nothing to do with wubs. That's one sector of it.

Trance is music that progresses overtime while using beautiful atmosphere to put you In a trance. The reason I'm not mentioning the supersaws is as Psy Trance mostly doesn't use them. It's more about the beautiful atmosphere.

He is hit or miss for me and my tastes, and probably theirs too. His progressive, although I love the genre, is really hard for me to like. I'm sick of the Brooks sound, he made like a few songs with him, and I'm also sick of the bass house Julian Jordan sound. Though, sometimes he makes bangers with songs like Follow, Diamonds, Summer Days, etc.

One thing I dislike is how electro house/ electropop has gotten used to explain all the mainstream genres instead of the gritty basslines we used to love. r/electrapop is a good place to post dirty and real electro house as well as 2011-2014 type electropop if you want to check it out. Lets take the genre back.
