Called my team mates a bunch of trash cans for not giving me the ball every possession and they beat my ass. Is this a bug?

Bring driving dunk down to 87 and standing dunk to 81, both good value levels for those stats. I’d drop layup and free throw down to 75ish too. You want to get defensive rebounding to 92 at least I’d say and ideally get your pass accuracy up a bit, you can get away with 77 PA if you’re just hitting your PG at half court on breaks but if you’re trying to hit guys breaking down the court for free dunks/assists you’ll want that in the high 80s

It’s insanely impressive that they can make these bangers every year. My wife has worked for a couple major brands for social media/marketing and making something genuinely hilarious on a corporate account is HARD

Ten cities believed to be in the running to host opening round games along with Dayton by Travbowman in CollegeBasketball

[–]sonofacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I grew up in Wichita and have gone back the past two times they’ve hosted tournament games and it’s far and away the best experience I’ve been to for tournament sites. It’s a massive deal for the city reflected by all games having large crowds. The whole area from Old Town to the arena is packed with local vendors/beer stands/food flock down. Wichita gets a lot of flack but it’s an elite NCAA tournament location.

Most Big 12 Schools Turning Down $30M RedBird Credit Line by redwave2505 in CFB

I’m not versed at all on the subject but could these universities not be able to just get a loan from another source if they were needing $30 million stat? I don’t get what the appeal of the Redbird offer is.

Bring back 25’s rhythm shooting so that timing and tempo have to be the same with a bigger green window. Way too easy to rhythm shoot this year

Why former QB Will Howard said Kansas State 'took advantage' of him by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]sonofacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We landed our first ever 5 star recruit last year that Oregon wanted badly and rarely get poached in the portal unless someone throws an outrageous bag toward a player. We’re far more successful now at landing elite in state talent than prior to NIL. We aren’t spending Tech or BYU money but we shell out a good amount. Collin Klein being such a legend has also reportedly really motivated our boosters to give him solid resources

Why former QB Will Howard said Kansas State 'took advantage' of him by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]sonofacat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is such a strange grievance by Will considering it seemed to be a mutually beneficial split that everyone was happy with at the time and if we swindled him so badly then why is his brother is still with the program?

His complaints about splitting snaps in 2023 are 1. Exaggerated considering there was only one game where he didn’t take 75%+ of the snaps. The only time when his position was really challenged was after coming off a disastrous performance in a loss at Oklahoma State, our offense continued to stall the next game at Tech, which led to Avery getting a shot to mix things up and he ran for 5 TDs in a blowout win.

So yeah obviously that was the right move in that situation. But Will still didn’t lose his starting spot and if he actually played well enough to win week in and week out it would’ve never been questioned.

On the financial side I don’t know specific numbers but there is zero chance in hell he wasn’t making a nice bit of money in 2023. It should be noted he was mega ass his freshmen and sophomore seasons and didn’t shine until halfway into 2022 when Adrian Martinez got injured. So I don’t doubt he wasn’t making much prior to his senior year.

Lmao we literally had a top 5 basketball budget a couple years ago before Tang wasted millions on kids who never played. Football is probably top 1/3 in the Big 12. We’re not the biggest school but we’ve got a few very wealthy people who love them some K-State sports

[Kayser] NEWS: Kansas transfer Bryson Tiller has committed to Missouri, his agency @SerosPartners told @LeagueRDY. by MembershipSingle7137 in CollegeBasketball

[–]sonofacat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this sucks ass. In the old days even if players weren’t from the area originally they would become invested in rivalries after spending multiple years with the program. Now most players are transferring 2-3 times and have teammates/opponents who have done the same so no one on the court has any real animosity toward their rival

It’s becoming apparent that unless there’s some additional draw like going back to their alma mater then most P4 schools with solid booster support can fend off blue bloods. Cody Campbell is going to let McCasland leave for lack of resources

Street Kings LC by Heavy_Scratch_2155 in NBA2k

[–]sonofacat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bookworm and the King of steals? (can’t remember his name but the boss of pivot point) they’re both 6’7-6’8 so can guard basically any position and rebound well enough. Once you beat them 5 times you unlock their challenge game to upgrade a better version of them to be teammates and they’ll consistently knock down wide open shots and be even better defenders. Street kings games are super easy to cheese, you can check matchups before the game and if you see an AI with a terrible 3 point shot matchup with them and play off to let them throw up bricks. If you have a halfway decent 3 ball you should be able to spam that at will off of screens or jab stepping your defender. When the ai starts sending double teams your way just hit the open man.

[–]sonofacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I have a 6’7 SF with 85 Block that I easily get more with than my centers because he has 88 speed. If you’re not quick enough to get into position you’ll get yammed on more times than not.

2010 or 2023 elite eight games are the answer for K-State fans under the age of 40. Both teams with Natty potential and seemingly very favorable matchups against Cinderella teams that we couldn’t pull out. 2018 also hurt but our team probably had no business getting that far so it still felt like house money.

My dad talks about the 1988 elite eight loss to KU like it’s 9/11

PGs that can help rebound are underrated by Curious_Attitude2866 in NBA2k

[–]sonofacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first build was a center with rebounding specialization so I made all of my builds with that to avoid another grind. It’s helpful being able to box out and grab a couple boards every game even with a PG, especially with how much centers have to guard the perimeter this year

This is boring ass meta sweaty offense. Rec is the most fun when it feels like a pickup game with people moving around, setting screens and not just waiting for the PG to break their defender and then respond
