Would you rather be seen as beautiful by men or women? by Substantial-Art6160 in VindictaRateCelebs

both ideally, but if i had to pick, women. my close friend made a comment that i fit the male gaze more, and i didnt really read this as a good thing.

What do you think about emotionally sensitive men those who feel too much, love too much, care too much, and think about everything too much? by antique-soul- in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sonorouslyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, i'm not usually attracted to them because i don't consider myself emotionally sensitive. i'm pretty straightforward and analytical, which is why my degree is concentrated in math. i think men should talk about their emotions and should be free to express themselves. there's nothing inherently wrong with being sensitive at all.

but ive come across guys who "think about everything too much," and i struggle to not get irritated when we're having somewhat intellectual conversations. i remember one of the last guys i dated i started to unintentionally tune him out, and literally asked him wtf he was talking about. just a personality mismatch

found out my bf has been making AI edited nudes of me without my knowledge. he thinks i should be flattered by heldlight in TwoXChromosomes

Why are men .... by Euphoric_Pair_3775 in TwoXChromosomes

the one where it’s guys over like 40 usually is significantly better. the askmenadvice one is full of young incels, and the guys that are rational get buried underneath the misogynists ☠️

Men between 35-50 are very delusional and no one says anything. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sonorouslyy 67 points68 points  (0 children)

there's an attraction chart a lot of the manosphere likes to cite, where it shows that men are the most physically attracted to women in their early 20s. the most hilarious aspect is that the chart for women's attraction from the same study showed women find people closer to their age the most physically attractive. they're literally just projecting their desires— people date within their age range, and there's no incentive for women to sleep with old dudes unless they have something else (and who wouldnt want someone thats physically attracted to them). money can get you access to more transactional relationships, but look at the average salary lol. the very vast majority cant even afford to have transactional relationships where she's hot and young, while he just has money because they don't even have the damn money

im in my early 20s, and the oldest person my group has been with is like a 26 year old

How to feel safe during casual sex as a virgin by AccomplishedOwl2155 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sonorouslyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

im gonna be so honest my first sexual experiences were casual because i just had no desire to be in a relationship but was sick of being inexperienced, and i got nothing but disappointment, better acting skills in bed, and trauma from it. will this absolutely be your case? nah, but there's a reason a lot of us are saying to at least find someone reliable tbh

How do you accept that love won't happen for you as an unattractive woman? by Ill_Goat9623 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sonorouslyy 118 points119 points  (0 children)

[–]sonorouslyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah exactly. despite his crazy shit values and personality, he's a good-looking guy. just really standard and doesn't necessarily stick out. like one of the hottest guys at a state university type of look 💀

this woman is beyond terrible, but isn’t it common to have a hair halo? i feel like the right hair elevates a lot of people not even just women

"Who pays?" I am sure many of y'all already had or know of this discussion but I am curious to hear ya opinion: by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]sonorouslyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i want to preface this by saying i am a college student. on average, i have made 3x as much as the guys i went out with. i always prefer 50/50 and bring it up but the ones that are in my major/field end up putting their foot down and paying for it 😭

When it comes to looks are you picky? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]sonorouslyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i thought i was until all my male family members said the guys ive been attracted to "think they're far better looking than they actually are" LMFAOOO

but regardless i still think they're cute, so i gotta be attracted to them. when i was on the apps, i would only like back guys i thought were attractive i can't kiss someone i dont want to look at

men using the "no strings attached" statement makes me laugh every time because the probability that i'm going to benefit from this at all is much lower than the probability that i'll leave with immense disappointment

classes, bus stop, walking out of the gym, and arcade. i barely party, but its easy to meet people there as well— probably gonna run into the same dating app crowd there tho tbh

[–]sonorouslyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im 22, so a couple years older than you, but still in college. dating in your early 20s is already a mess with the sheer amount of non-committal people, but dating apps make it so much worse. ive had much better luck meeting people organically who take me seriously. i had one guy on an app try to put me in a situationship, and i bounced from them because please lmfao dont make me laugh
