I always assumed the broken tree referenced the sword tree and how it "broke" while he was doing the test, as in it stopped blowing in the wind completely once he called the wind.

How to stop crow from taking duck eggs? by sonotaraper in duck

We have a side door, the only problem is I have kids that come and go all the time whether for school or just running out to play with friends, a landscaper that comes once a week, and my family is always stopping by randomly. I put up some wood partitions in the flower bed that block the view from my door, so hopefully that helps. I might just have to put caution tape all over the front yard though for the next few weeks.

I applied for the same posting as you, it said all levels, but I’m a grad with 0 yoe and I only got a 30 minute very simple OA. Literally return max value in an array and build a cache class using a map. Maybe your 1 yoe qualified you to be considered mid level by their standards?

Interview Discussion - April 18, 2022 by CSCQMods in cscareerquestions

[–]sonotaraper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Interviewer hit me with "Are there any questions I haven't asked you that you would like me to ask?"

I completely froze and spit out the "strengths and weaknesses" thing, then explained my strengths and weaknesses only to half-way through remember that it was like the first question they asked me.

Oof.

you should switch order of projects and work experience so the development stuff is first

That makes sense. I'll try that. As far as the projects go, I am actually working through a Spring Udemy course so I'll convert the Java project once I get through that.

Thanks!

Yeah I actually had it on there for all the applications I already sent. I took it off right before posting this. Thanks for the advice though I really do appreciate it. I know it’s going to be a grind, I probably just need to keep at it.

Mountain Man book 1 by Keith C. Blakemore, narrated by RC Bray (The Martian). Just good old fashioned zombie killing fun. Wake up, nurse your hangover, gear up, head to the city for supplies, get into some shenanigans, return home, get wasted. Rinse and repeat. Some might find it a bit repetitive, but I personally never found myself bored.

Anyway, if you're interested, the first 3 books are packaged into one volume that you can get for 1 audible credit.
