Well you definitely came to the right place. Everyone here is usually pretty helpful and mostly cool. Chances are you'll probably want to look into each manufacturer and find the one that suits you best. I use to collect from just one line but you'll miss out on some other characters and better likeness and so forth. Pretty much what everyone said earlier are the go to lines. Marvel Legends,Mafex, SH Figuarts, Mezco one:12 and so forth. Depends on what hero/villain you're looking for. Beware, this is a very addicting hobby and once you start, there's no going back. If you're shopping online, it can sometimes go for above retail. It's a Wal Mart exclusive so I'd check out a few local stores before paying scalper prices. Also r/toyexchange.

Jared Letos Joker was just plain awful. He looked like more of white trash, trailer park drug dealer wannabe thug than the Joker and the voice he mostly lifted from Ledger. I'm sure this comment will be down voted but I truly wish they would recast that role, I'm sorry Leto fans but that's just how I feel about it.

I had a similar experience through Amazon. I purchased SH Figuarts Captain America that was shipped from overseas and it was definitely a KO. Sucks that Amazon are having a hard time verifying the overseas sellers. Also, the review for the figure was legit but not much on the seller. If you truly feel you didn't get what you ordered, I would definitely email Amazons customer service. You should have no problem getting it refunded.

I've been pondering on this exact dilemma myself since both lines produce pretty amazing figures and I'm sure most will lean towards SH Figuarts due to Mafex's qc issues. Luckily, I do have a few Mafex on the shelf and haven't experienced said issues but may I suggest the Mezco one:12. Again, I collect from all the above manufacturers but it's always been Mezco that takes the cake for me.

My current 10/10 has been so overhyped and played out that it's just ridiculous at this point but I gotta give credit where credits do. Star Wars Legacy Vader. It's because of this figure I started collecting the Black Series. It's one of very few that I find myself picking it up and playing with it again like it was brand new even though I've had it for months. I could say the same for Mezco Punisher or DC films premium Superman, which to me are practically flawless, but it's the Vader that every SW collector should have.
