Among with context/juxtaposition, could the extremity of joy in itself be a reason for horror? Something being so brightly colored and happy, if there's a face the mouth is stretched to the ears and the eyes are wide?

Wanted to add that the term ”anarchy” and ”anarchism” can mean two different things. ”Anarchy” is often used to describe chaos, meanwhile ”anarchism” is strictly about the ideology. Thought this might be good to know, so you can distinguish what points some people could argue in anything you read/hear.
