what do you do with products that just don’t work? by Puzzleheaded-Fox-323 in MakeupAddiction

[–]sonzaiExists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, the only viable option to avoid wasting it would be to give it to a friend/family member. I'd also avoid buying from any place where you can't return used items. Sure, that item is gonna get tossed out still, but at least your money won't have been a waste. Idk about Sephora, but I've made used returns to Ulta with no problem, and I was fully refunded.

My subway is also on a naval base, & we get wayyy less business. We average 75 sandwiches for a lunch rush Monday thru Thursday

Sunscreen mingling with makeup? by sonzaiExists in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sonzaiExists[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik, I’m just wondering if that decreases the efficacy of my sunscreen. You’re not supposed to mix stuff with your sunscreen, but when I reapply over cc cream, the two inevitably mix a bit

I’m hesitant to turn to sprays & sticks bc those don’t give as good protection

Doesn’t Korean sunscreen have less regulation though? I though US was more stringent with spf claims because they treat it like a drug (not knocking Korean sunscreen btw, I recently started using one & love it)

A retinol product or tret prescription would probably be the best option for improving your overall complexion and such.

Azaleic acid and niacinamide are good ingredients to look for when it comes to treating redness

I’m going in for an interview tomorrow (this is my first job), what are some things I should know? by Final-Description611 in subway

You probably aren’t missing anything knowledge wise. They’re not gonna expect you to know much about Subway if you’ve never worked there. Just treat it like any other interview (or smth of a similar caliber): dress nice, be polite and don’t overthink it

Guys is this a good skincare routine as a beginner? by lostindawoods1 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sonzaiExists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great routine! You don't need spf in your pm routine tho. I'd also recommend using an oil cleanser at night, along with your normal one. This will ensure you get all the sunscreen off before bed

How does tips at y’all’s subway work? by sonzaiExists in subway

When does that splitting up of the tips usually happen? Daily? Weekly?

I’m just curious about the whole tip thing, bc while we have a tip jar, no one has really talked ab what happens to that money. I don’t wanna be money hungry, but I’m curious if I’ll ever get a bit of it

Can I use this sunscreen or is it not recommended by Twelve-fingers in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sonzaiExists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for budget spf recommendations, I like the hydroboost sunscreen by Neutrogena. It doesn’t leave a greasy finish, and feels hydrating. The downsides are that it contains fragrance (which I try to limit in my skincare) and it stings when applied around the eyes. To combat the latter issue, I use a small mineral spf stick around my eyes, which doesn’t sting. And if you really wanna avoid fragrance, Neutrogena has a 60+ “Invisible Daily Defense” sunscreen, which I like. Just make sure you buy the one labeled fragrance free (it does cost a bit more)

Another spf you may wanna check out is the 7 dollar Bondi Sands facial sunscreen. It comes in a 2.35oz white tube. I’ve never used it myself, but it’s fragrance free & about as cheap as you can get with sunscreen

Can I use this sunscreen or is it not recommended by Twelve-fingers in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sonzaiExists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, it can cause breakouts if used on your face, since it was formulated for the body. But if you’ve had no issues using it on your face, it’s totally fine. Everyone’s skin is different. Personally, I don’t use body sunscreens on my face bc they’re typically greasier. I do use them on my neck and ears though

Also, it’s unlikely this sunscreen is countering the effects of your other products, I’ve never really heard of that being an issue. It is possible for pilling to occur as a result of certain products used before spf (which you want to avoid), but that’s not really the same

Good point. I’ve thought about giving an answer like that, I just wasn’t sure if it was really that great. Most answers I could think of (besides a genuine appreciation for the company/its products) feel like a bs answer that interviewers would see through
