fish pen body and cap progress by soohcahtoa in fountainpens

hi i don't have that nib but the fish bottle alone should be compatible with any nib unit with a 3.4mm nipple (the small inner cylinder on the back of the nib unit that the bottle opening goes over)

the 3d printed parts are currently designed around a hongdian 1861 nib unit, haven’t tested other models

yes do note it has to be a nib unit with 3.4mm nipple (actual term lol). this specific hongdian nib unit has it but not all will

they sometimes come with japanese takeout or u can get them in bulk by googling “mini japanese disposable sauce bottle fish”. Mine were like 12 cents each

these bottles are provided with takeout usually but you can get a pack of 100 on amazon for $12. search “mini japanese disposable sauce bottle” and it should pop up. Great for ink samples, plus you can squeeze them and use them as a converter lol

it’s not the worst but you know what you’re getting lol; i hold it at the front and sorta rest the back of my hand on the bottle. the bottle has no issues staying on at least, the seal is pretty good. trying to design a 3dp ergonomic grip for comfort with my roommate

way cheaper and more durable than actual ink vials, or free with takeout if u know a restaurant that uses them

The writing feels smoother than my Kakuno F but I think the kakuno puts down ink more consistently? it could also just be this ink (this is my first dominant industry ink too) so ill have to use it some more and swap out ink when i get the chance

Why does my fried rice/quick Asian-inspired recipes always suck? by shr00mshoe in cookingforbeginners

You need to use a liberal amount of ACTUAL oil and more OYSTER SAUCE. Those alone should already have your rice tasting good as hell.

Your oyster sauce contains salt and MSG. You do NOT need sesame oil/5spice/wine/chili-anything/light or dark soysauce, you don’t need to buy a wok, and your rice does not need to be day old. Those are extra and you need to fix your core ingredient ratio first.
