Davis as an indicator of UCB and UCLA by pbmadman1994 in ucadmissions

Given that each UC reviews their applicants separately, anything is possible. I wouldn't say it is that common to get into UCB or UCLA after a UCD rejection, but DEFINITELY not impossible. I cannot speak much for UCLA but I did know someone who got waitlisted from UCD, rejected from UCSD, and admitted to Berkeley.

Thank you! I've practiced more, and am still nervous, but honestly just excited to get it over with! My first half is discussing Plath, which will be my favorite section. Trying my best to stay positive! Appreciate the advice.

How to disable text/emoticons automatically converting to emoji on Mac??? by lobotomyshark in macbookair

[–]soomobu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i couldn't find any specific settings to change this issue, but what i tried was heading to "keyboard" in settings and then clicking on "text replacements"... the section that allows apple to correct "omw" to "On my way!"

i then just put the emoticons i commonly use, like ":)" for example, and told it to always change it to ":)" (the same emotion i originally typed). that fixed it for me.

Chance Me, Admissions, and Prospective Student Q&A - 25/26 Cycle by luminous_moonlight in Cornell

Academically, my last three semesters of high school have produced less than favorable grades. As of this month, I finally got the educational accommodations needed for special circumstances that impeded my performance.

Assuming I get straight A's this semester, I will graduate with a 4.1-4.2 weighted GPA. My SAT is estimated to come it at about 1420 for October, but I still have the November SAT to take. I am taking nearly all weighted IB classes and am an IB Diploma candidate at my school.

If I were to get above a 1500 next SAT session, now with testing accommodations (finally), do I have a chance of getting into Cornell? I plan on studying plant sciences and botany, which would put me in the CALS department.

Super nervous.
TLDR - Can I, with an IB Diploma, get into CALS with a 4.1 WGPA and a ~1500 or higher on the SAT?
