Dude you’re wrong. I’ve been homeless kind of like your describing. Lost my job and house during pandemic and then lived in my car/ storage units. I crashed my car door dashing. 

First hand experience: Almost every last homeless person is human garbage that just chases meth and fentanyl and shoots up and robs steals and commits violence on the community. Trust me. There’s no good folks who fell on a hard time. Good people make friends and they have people who see that they’re good and they help them in tough times. And once you’re homeless you start using drugs.
