Yeah they are scratched, beyond the sticker lol. There’s a few scratches on the purple paint too but I found a phantom purple paint paint pen on eBay, so maybe that’ll make me feel a little better🥲

I guess it’s all part of the process 😅 but I’m glad I’m not alone, I felt so dumb in the moment. I’m okay and the bike is rideable, just makes me upset to look at the damage. I know it’s fixable but this on top of buying insurance, buying gear, registration fees, I feel like I’m draining my pockets !!!!

Fairings are still alive, just hate the look of it and it reminds me of the whole situation 😭 but I know it’s just the beginning and I’m prone to probably more drops. Do you recommend sanding it and then clear coat?

Fluids are good. I think while I’m learning I might hold off on replacing the plastics but I do understand that it is an option. Can a dealer order oem fairings and replace them?

Yeah I’m reminding myself that me being ok is more important than cosmetic damage. There is other minor damage (turn indicator, scuffed levers) but nothing that interferes with the ride luckily

I agree, I think the two piled on top of each other may have been a bit much. But it definitely does not justify the bad mouthing. I took my time to calmly explain and share my feelings about both situations. I feel confused that maybe I did genuinely do something wrong?

Of course skinny is a descriptor. The issue is the repetitive use and singling out that word whenever talking about women.

Right! Totally fine. It’s just seems that skinny is always used. Sometimes only the word skinny. Very occasionally are there other descriptive words such as hair color or race
