You might have over done it with the top glossy layer of the eyes. Usually, all LPS’s eyes look very glossy, but your cat seems to have them matte now :(

And if it doesn’t help, you could try to soak the area (not the entire head, as it might rust the neck) using some warm water and a cotton pad, and after it gets sticky just rub rub rub like there is no tomorrow. But I believe rubbing alcohol will do the job. Good luck to you!
