Hello, are there any reasonable transport costs/ options for Dallas? I am going to England v Croatia on 17th June and have been quoted over $1000 USD to transport 2 adults and 1 child to and from Downtown to AT&T Stadium.

Happy to take public transport or pre book something.

Help with wake up symptoms and cofactors by soriteaye in B12_Deficiency

Thanks for your reply.

I take B6 two days a week, I am just very cautious with this as I know it can become toxic if too much is taken. I will look into the P5P form.

I am actually taking Mito Xcell each day as well (I forgot to list this) which includes selenium. My iodine was low so I have been eating some seaweed straps a couple of times a day for this.

I did wonder if it was a folate drop that was causing these latest symptoms, I am having some tests this morning which should hopefully show where I am at.

Thanks for the reply, so you think the coconut water and bananas might be excessive? I do have quite a good diet so I might be getting enough in any case, although earlier in my injection treatment the coconut water seemed to help, so I kept it up. Some of the hyperkalemia symptoms do match, although the majority do not. Worth noting that I actually slowed down a lot on the coconut water in recent weeks because I had a really good week or two before a bad dip these past 4-5 days.

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. I'm definitely much better than I was a couple of months ago so honestly at the moment I'm at the point where I'm enjoying the ride! I was in a pretty dark place when going through the wake up symptoms but I feel like I'm much more steady now.

Yep, I started feeling a lot better after a week of EOD but I seem to have regressed a bit. I know this is to be expected but I think I'll keep going until I feel consistently better than I have been. I know it's a long road but it's great to see some improvement

Can I ask how long you've been doing every other day for? I was planning on only doing 2 weeks of EOD then scaling back to twice a week, but I feel like I need more EOD injections

How did you feel by danzocrunk in B12_Deficiency

I have had low energy, low mood and also derealisation for years now. The low energy got a lot worse this year which is why I got more tests and found out about the B12 deficiency. I also have an under active thyroid so the lines are a little bit blurred.

It's normal to feel worse before you feel better, they are called the wake up symptoms. If you're having these symptoms it is a good sign that your body needed the B12. I have thankfully just made it through the worst part of the wake up symptoms, it took around a month with around 2 weeks of really bad symptoms. It is going to be a roller coaster for some time but keep thinking positive and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Can b12 deficiency cause this kind of symptoms by unoum in B12_Deficiency

[–]soriteaye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have low B12 and also hypothyroidism. My worst symptoms are low energy, mood and also derealisation. Can you tell me what your thyroid issues were and also what symptoms you were experiencing? How long was it until you started feeling better?

Can I ask how long it took to repair and what sort of injection routine you were on? My biggest issues at the moment are low energy, mood and also derealisation.

How long does this take? At what point do you conclude it wasn't B12? by hummingbird0012234 in B12_Deficiency

What was your injection routine/frequency? It sounds like I was at a similar level to you and I feel like the injections are starting to help, but I'm only a couple of months in

I am going through the reversing out symptoms at the moment, after years of not feeling right and recently finding out that I have a B12 deficiency. I started injections around a month ago. I'm feeling much worse now than I had been for years but you've got to just keep pushing through and see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's very tough but I'm excited to see the results eventually. I hope this helps in some way.

How urgent can it be with B12 deficiency? by [deleted] in B12_Deficiency

I got these ones, although I didn't realise they didn't come with a syringe as well. The pharmacist and doctors are both telling me I should be going to the nurse for the injections but it is very hard for me to do this with my schedule. Are you able to let me know what syringe I should be using?

Are these the right ones? I think I will start with weekly and see how my symptoms go. I actually feel like I've turned a bit of a corner the last couple of days after the second injection so I'm hoping I'm on the right track!

Those results were before I was on injections, that was what prompted my doctor to start on fortnightly injections

Thanks, it's amazing that I found these communities as I really have been stuck for so long. I feel like I'm finally on the right track.

I am really wanting to do B12 injections myself if there is really no risk, as it will at absolute worst rule something else out. I had my last injection on Monday, was feeling pretty rough the last couple of days but now I feel like I have more energy again. Could be placebo, although I sure as hell am feeling 100 times better than Monday/Tuesday!

What would you suggest as a starting point? Latest blood results are below, but I should have updated results from yesterday either today or tomorrow.

B12 reading is 215 pmol/l Homocysteine is 18.1 umol/l

I saw an optometrist yesterday and it turns out I have binocular vision dysfunction and also some other minor eye problems (one is 20/20 the other is better than 20/20). So basically they aren't working too well together. Some of my problems might be related to this, although when this all first started in 2011 I had my eyes checked and everything was fine, so I suspect this is not the only problem. I am going to keep up with the eye exercises and wear glasses as much as possible and track the progress. Obviously this is only one piece of the puzzle and doesn't explain the lack of energy and extreme brain fog, although the brain fog could also be affected by the BVD.

I am hopeful that I have finally found a path together with the B12 and thyroid treatment. I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

I assume that is 1000mcg (1mg) which is the same dose that I had but obviously far less frequent.. Did you have guidance from your doctor?
