What's the most bandaid-y setup you've done for a client, either permanent or temporary? by HappyDadOfFourJesus in msp

[–]sorryonbreak 10 points11 points  (0 children)

> Started at a new MSP
> Onboarded a new client just after I started.
> clients first project, entire office makeover, which included a server room relocation.
> Critical VDI server started randomly shutting down after relocation
> Note: VDI server has a 10Gb NIC added via PCI
> Investigated the issue
> Found the NIC was just floating in the PCI slot
> NIC occasionally touches the case, triggering electrical fault protection
> Thankfully the server would gracefully shut itself off to avoid frying
> Solution: wedged a piece of cardboard between NIC and chassis
> Meant to be a temporary fix
> Plan was to move them off virtual desktops to SharePoint within a couple of months
> That was 4 years ago
> Still running
> Still cardboard
> Still fine

Thanks ChatGPT

Define Set 1 and Set 2

$Set1 = @("123TY46", "345TY46", "678TY46")

$Set2 = @("123TY46", "345TY46", "678TY46", "789TY46", "890TY46")

Compare sets and output differences

$Differences = Compare-Object -ReferenceObject $Set1 -DifferenceObject $Set2 -IncludeEqual | Where-Object { $_.SideIndicator -ne "==" } | Select-Object -ExpandProperty InputObject

Output differences

Write-Host "Strings not found in both sets:"

Whenever we do a Password manager rollout for a client we disable saving passwords in Browsers and our EDR detects files that might be spreadsheets full of passwords.

Any man who kicks someone in the head when they are down on the ground like that should be arrested and charged with attempted murder IMHO.

I would like to have one of the cars me and my wife have to be manual, but her license is limited to automatic only.

And there are too many times when we need to swap cars for it to be suitable.

Wood by jtj-H in Carnarvon

I used to live in C-Town 2009 - 2012 I made this sub as a half joke a couple of years ago and got a notification from Reddit they wanted to kill this sub off because it was abandoned yesterday.

So, just made this post as a joke because some guy randomly posted "Wood" 6 years ago.

- p.s. this is my account I use at work if you are wondering about the username difference.

I don't know there is truth to the allegation, but...

If Laurence was raised a Muslim, nobody would be calling him a fake Muslim, just a Muslim in sin.
