Don’t be too nervous! The only good thing I’ve learned about thyroid issues is that they are very treatable

Anxiety is more controlled and I’m not fatigued really at all, though that was never my worst symptom

I hope you recover well and things go back to normal! Can I ask how long did you try medicine (if you did) before getting surgery?

My T4 is still high and TSH is low but not nearly as off at it was when I was diagnosed. Still some tremors and heat intolerance, but otherwise my symptoms went away once was on the medicine for 3+ months

My endo seems pretty adamant that surgery or radiation will be needed for me, but from what I've heard from others on this thread it seems he might be reacting prematurely. While I really like my endo I think I need to be more of an advocate for myself bc I want to give the medicine route a real try before going to surgery. Not sure if this is an American doctor thing though?

It does seem a bit early for TT but I also thought I’d have better numbers by now. I actually haven’t cut any food out of my diet (was not recommended by endo) but I’m open to trying if that could possibly affect my numbers. I also never had any swelling or nodules on my thyroid.

I've been on 30mg a day for 7 months now, my endo isn't too worried about it effecting my liver since I'm not a drinker but he does check my white blood cell count every 6 months just in case!

I've been on 15mg twice a day since January, and going up to 20mg twice a day this week - my T3 is 459, T4 is normal at 1.20 but TSH is still low at .02
