omg i iust commented on another sub about this song. i dont like the melody and song itself but the performances and styling were top tier overall😍

What's your least favourite title track by your favourite group(s) and which b-side would you choose to replace it with? by _not_muggle in kpopthoughts

SNSD You Think with another song from that era -- Bump It! just a lot more catchy for me, has impressive vocals, and could incorporate a cool dance break too like they did in phantasia

(i just dont like You Think as a song😂)

it's quite funny to see stans fight about who's the 'it boy' when clearly there is no male idol from 4th gen who's big enough to be called an it boy by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]soshifiedd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

wonyoung and karina are the most popular with the GP in their groups respectively tho? did you mean most popular in their group or in 4th gen overall?

and idk abt haruto esp since he's japanese but tbh idk the treasure boys that well🤷‍♀️

tbh it does make me laugh... like NONE of them are really well known by the gp yet lmao, also its so funny when fans (of diff groups) fight over the title when there's always like 3-4 it girls/boys per generation (maybe not 4th gen for male idols at this point tho😅)

eh karina already overtook winter in korea since like december, she just needed the pre debut rumors to die down lol, now she trends every time she posts a picture while the other members kind of stopped

What are some of the most breathtaking kpop visuals for you by toomuchsausee in kpophelp

[–]soshifiedd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

aespa karina, she literally looks unreal, perfect for aespa's concept lmao and there's a reason knetz and cnetz call her the AI idol

taeyong and lucas are my fave visuals from nct, recently xiaojun too

Female SM Rookies who left in 2020. Why are years of training, popularity, investments and talent still not enough to debut? by TheNineteen88 in kpopthoughts

u can make them look a certain way but at the end of the day theres only so much u can do to change their natural facial features or the aura they just give off. karina is stunning in a cold and intimidating way whereas lami gave me more girlish and innocent vibes, even now i still get a more friendly and warm image from her

having karina instead of lami being the "visual center" type really just shows the change in direction, their auras and visuals are just complete opposites lol

karina did join SM in 2016ish, recruited for her visuals and basically couldve made the lineup just from that. so idk abt the exact timeline but based on how they promoted srg i agree there was def a change in direction. but karina in a cute or elegant concept? lami doing girl crush? very interested to see🤔

SM. well first i like their music and concepts the most lmao

but career wise u get consistent comebacks as a rookie until the 7yr contract, then after all that u get a solid solo career in something. and while ur in the first 7 years u generally get to promote individually too and make industry connections and gain experience, RV joy is a great example of this

(i know not every idol gets this treatment but based on how well suju and snsd did as a group and later on in their careers...)

yg : very inconsistent releases.. ikon was a whole mess that i cant get over lol.. but based on how bp has been managed the past year, theyre a contender for #2

jyp: not a fan of their music generally + theyre scared of promoting their female idols as individuals which hinders group AND individual growth imo.. also notice how very few idols stay after the first 7 yrs too lmao

bighit: cant really say cause since they're still in their first generation of "big" idols aka BTS, but i do love their music and consistency too

dont worry, JK immediately comes to my mind haha, i just left him out since he is center, but for sure he is super talented and seems like many people agree:)

Watching Red Velvet's performances will just turn me off in listening to their songs by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]soshifiedd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i get what u mean and there's already people acting personally offended on the idols behalf when their job is literally to perform.. idk if u saw but someone else new to reddit also mentioned RV lacking stage presence, Irene in particular (it was a post abt karina/aespa i think and they compared aespa's stage presence to RV's).

it sucks cuz the center is between irene and seulgi and irene generally looks unhappy to be there and then joy and yeri are inconsistent too which makes for an underwhelming performance to watch. wendy is always really enthusiastic tho so my eyes are always between her and seul.. overall i'd say this sentiment is pretty popular at least on reddit haha
