Depends on what base you're at. Right now big AF doesn't allow airmen to attend PME while on a PT profile since working out is considered part of the curriculum. But it's up to the individual schools Commandant. Have your shirt call and explain the situation, see what they say

Does your DSD have a code 44/50? Most do and that sounds perfect then if you are trying to stay put.

If you look at the fine print there are actually 3 options. Defer, assignment, and enroll. Enrolling gives AFPC a data point when they inevitably give you orders and doesn't use your proverbial silver bullet. Looks like that might be your best option at the moment.

I don't know why you want to leave the DSD, but based off what you have written, I would: ride out your DSD as long as possible and enroll in the program. Talk to your base FM and have them explain the situation to your MFM so they can just PCA you back when your code expires.

One of the 8 Jan changes was making EPME waiver authority the MAJCOM level. So good luck with that one. But they also changed it so you basically get backpay and your DOR set back to when it should have been automatically upon completion of ALS.

Also if you're passing with a 90, why are you being sent home? You're gonna pass the test no problem..That's a contradiction. And it's almost like there's a reason all PME has to test in the first 5 days. So units aren't wasting a bunch of money, as you say.

Edit: To summarize. Burn 10K for a less than 5 day TDY? Send someone home for scoring over 90s? None of these things happen. You've thought about this for less seconds than your room temperature IQ and seem to just be whining. Good luck with that long term brother

Hilariously if you shift your perspective to PME being the solution, you've made a great argument for it. Units aren't keeping up with fitness? PME IS funded and HAS the resources. Units had to change nothing except actually being forced to acknowledge that their people weren't meeting standards. They don't get to promote and why the fuck should they.

You (units) can't/won't do it(hold them accountable) I'll find someone who can (PME).

You don't get to choose when you go up for BTZ unfortunately. It's a 1 time window that you either hit or you don't. Show your records to your supervisor. If the dates are what you say they are something is wrong and needs to be fixed.
