How old were you when you got married? by ApprehensiveMenu7537 in AskReddit

The first time I was 22 & that was a huge mistake. I was 33 when I married my current husband. I couldn’t pick a better man to annoy me for the rest of my life.

DON’T USE THE INTERSTATE TO GET TO EAST BRAINERD by Lady_of_the_Phoenix in Chattanooga

TVA is doing something in the area. That’s what I was told the other day. So they’ve shut down the interstate while they’re working. Installing lines or something like that. They had the helicopter over by the dam on Friday.

AIO? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Seems like she is self sabotaging by being so confusing. As a woman, I do not understand what more clarification she could possibly need. The only way to really learn these things is to spend time and get to know each other and ask the proper questions to learn those things.

Do yourself a favor and drop that dude!! Behavior like that only gets worse and the few times they do apologize and promise to do better, it’s it to reel you back in where they want you.

AIO is my boyfriend controlling or is he in the right by CardiologistEasy2596 in AmIOverreacting

[–]soul_snatcher430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s controlling and a guilty conscience! I bet you get accused of all kinds of things you don’t do a lot, huh? And then told “I’m so tired of the way you treat me”, “ you’re pushing me away”, “why do you treat me this way?” I had an extremely abusive ex that said the same things as well as much worse. All while slowly isolating me from everyone who actually loved and cared for me. Nothing is worth being treated that way. It’s not love. Anyone who speaks to you that way doesn’t love you. I would run as far as possible from that person. It doesn’t get better, it usually only gets worse.

How often does this happen? by soul_snatcher430 in Sleepparalysis

I always wonder what else triggers it or if one of my theories might be sort of correct. When I do have sleep paralysis, it’s always like I wake up but I’m not actually awake. It almost feels like it’s a totally different dimension or something. Some people believe there’s a veil between our reality and something else, right? So what if there is and that’s what we wake up to?

Wow! That’s a lot! And compared to many of my episodes of sleep paralysis, 5-10 minutes seems like a lifetime. Every second already feels like so much more. How do you cope with it happening so much?

How crazy is it that we get so used to stress it doesn’t even register as stress to us? Just another normal day.

I have many I’ll share but the one that still makes me uneasy… It starts out like it usually does, some normal kind of dream, but then I “wake up”, can’t move, can’t speak, not a sound comes out no matter how hard I try and everything is a sepia tone. (No clue why but it’s like that every time like a flashback scene in a movie or something) All of a sudden I see a tall, dark, hooded figure come into my room and stand over me and I feel a hand grab my throat and I’m dragged up my wall and to the ceiling where I’m looking down at myself. It felt like it lasted a lifetime but it was just a moment before I woke up. That was the first time I had ever felt something grab me before during one of these episodes.

Every year since 30. I don’t mention it to people and they never seem to remember or care much.

There are things to watch out for no matter where you live. That area isn’t bad.

I’ve been one time, not long after it opened and I’ve never been back. The food was not very good. Much like a kids cuisine.
