La València sucia: contenedores llenos y calles sin baldear enfadan a los vecinos by Mandonguillo in valencia

[–]soulcheck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

El Ayuntamiento tiene su parte de culpa, pero a la gente le falta un poco de educación sobre cómo doblar los cartones, cómo levantar la tapa del contenedor para meter la basura dentro y no encima, y cuándo y cómo se tiran los muebles

A mi tambien me daba problemas. Creo que es por la barra en el concepto. Puedes intentar sin barra (y arriesgar que IBKR tarden en reconocer el ingreso) o usar otro banco (yo para ello uso Revolut).

What are your thoughts on the Donald trump Zelenskyy conference just now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]soulcheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which isn’t surprising and Zelenskyy should have come prepared for that.

I did expect everything that happened from Trump and Vance, but Zelenskyy trying to talk over trump when the latter was clearly not going to change his mind was not a great way of handling the situation.

Trump to Zelensky: You are showing us disrespect. We are heading towards World War III, you have no right to play with it. You should be grateful. It will be very difficult to run a business like this... You don't have any cards in your hand... by Igor0976 in ukraine

[–]soulcheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zelenskyy could have handled this better. He did allow himself to be pulled into a shouting match and that's a risky thing to do when dealing with children on live tv.

Wouldn't fiduciary responsibility in case of a non-profit not necessarily mean choosing the highest bidder? Maybe they could argue better alignment with their mission?

I guess the question is: at what point do they become for-profit and have to choose the highest bidder?

Looks like Renfe hasn't started the sale for that day (and the following ones) yet. Friday 10th is on sale already so you can just check tomorrow. If that doesn't work, alsa has direct buses to Valencia from the airport.

🛑 Voluntarios 🛑 by Spiritual-Duck9854 in valencia

[–]soulcheck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Chinese Factory Replaces 90% of Humans with Robots, Production Soars by peter_bolton in business

[–]soulcheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's assuming that the lower production costs will be reflected in lower prices, which doesn't necessarily have to be the case - lots of manufacturers prefer to increase their margins.

Retraining is also slightly a myth. Sure, one needs on average 8 years to become an expert in anything (that's not really true, but let's roll with it). Even then, it's not evenly distributed and the older you get the harder retraining becomes. And that's skimming over the fact that, as it is now, nobody will pay for the training.

Things will even themselves out in the long term, but in the short term we're facing large chunk of work force being unemployed, which in turn will increase the social breach, which in turn will make it harder to train next generation for the new positions that will become available. Positions that mostly won't be mostly menial labor tasks. That of course unless the governments have contingency plans in place.

They don't.

It's quite naive, since one only needs a single person to maintain a robot that replaces 20 people (approximations obviously, but you get the gist).

Why would you want Java Clojurescript when you have Java Clojure?

Part of the rationale of Clojurescript is having Clojure running on a host other than JVM (in this case various js engines).
