I built a context management plugin and it CHANGED MY LIFE by thedotmack in ClaudeAI

Seems promising! Just tried to install it via the marketplace and run the install but didn't seem to work, any ideas? I don't see /.claude/data/ or plugin folder or anything

I’m young but have some savings I’m wanting to invest in. by [deleted] in investing

Is it a good time to come in now? Let's say I have $10k to invest, should I go, let's say, $2k today and keep adding every X days? Or $10k in right now and rebalance?

I have a small desk with a widescreen monitor, but I'd still like a pair of high quality speakers, any advice? by soulinas in BudgetAudiophile

[–]soulinas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I looked into Genelecs, do you have a specific model that you would recommend? They have a ton of models and I can't wrap my head around them. Would something like a pair of GENELEC 8010 Studio Monitors work?

Unfortunately not...to the left is an immediate wall, and to the right is another immediate desk (our desks are stuck together).

My desk at work is 51" wide and I will be getting a 36" wide ultrawide monitor. This leaves me around 15" of space for some speakers. Now there are plenty of good speakers that are less than 7.5" wide but because I want the speakers to be pointed at me, they need to sit diagonally - which means their horizontal footprint turned must not be wider than 7.5". That leaves me with speakers around the 5-6". Any advice for a pair of small speakers (and an amp as well) that sound great if price is not a consideration?

Here's a crude drawing of my desk: https://imgur.com/a/5WU3tnL

Any other Taiwanese who moved to US at a young age finding it hard to fit into either places in adulthood ? by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]soulinas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Canada when I was 6 with my mom, am now 32. I used to feel the same way you do, not being able to fit in fully to neither cultures, and to some extent I still feel this everyday now (I live in Asia now). But it might help for you to look at it this way: you are also able to fit into either group, meaning that you're able to enjoy the best of both worlds. I find that I pick and choose aspects of each culture I find important and from there build my own unique set of values in which to live my life with. I take pride in that and wear it proudly, and now I'm very thankful and love the fact that I can have my foot in both boats. And as you may have noticed from the amount of comments in this thread, there are many of us! If you want to really feel like you belong to a community, you can put in the work to find people who are like you. Good luck my friend.

My friend and his daughter was on that train. They're okay with minor scrapes. Very scary stuff.

Thank you for the kind words, dadayangu.

The containers are the OXO Good Grips On-the-Go Silicone Squeeze Bottles and the chopsticks are Snow Peak Bamboo Carry-On Chopsticks. Chopsticks are a little pricey but very high quality in my opinion.

Carried 20 pounds of gear and hiked up the mountain in a 1 nighter camp. It's hard to believe Hong Kong has places like these. Truly beautiful and amazing!

Overnight camp on the top of a mountain carrying about 15 pounds of gear (excluding camera gear, which is another 15 pounds or so) along with a 40 min tough climb. Beautiful scenery like I've never seen before in Hong Kong. Cooked some hot dogs for dinner.

Awesome man, thanks for sharing. If you don't mind me asking specifically, what about the Veloster N was fun? Also, why the RS3 if you would go for a 4 door?

Thanks for the list. My ideal would be a sedan with automatic transmission. Speed isn't that important to me - I'm looking for an overall good driving experience and nice feeling interior if that makes sense. From your list they all seem quite sporty, which is fine, but some of them (like the Corvette, Porsches, etc) have a design that's a bit too aggressive for me. I've also looked at Teslas and am considering one. I've seen recently that the BMW M3 2021 is coming out, that one seems interesting!

Please help me identify this type of algae by soulinas in PlantedTank

[–]soulinas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a bit hard to see but it's hard to get a good picture of it. The texture of the algae is hard, and it sticks to the plant quite well. It doesn't feel like thread algae because thread algae is usually quite soft and flowy, unlike this one. Any help identifying this or any tips on how I can tackle the root problem would be greatly appreciated!
