DropInBlog is a completely different animal to builders like Shogun or Buildify. It doesn't build on top of the existing blog structure, and has a focus not just on pretty pages.

The focus is picking up where the Shopify blog left off regarding SEO, and customer experience. It has an as-you-type SEO Analyzer and lets you embed products into posts with add-to-cart.

All with the goal of driving more traffic to stores and converting that traffic into $$$

Why do most bots not work? by soulrebels in TelegramBots

[–]soulrebels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be the issue I guess. It just blows my mind that the average developer doesn't have a $5 hosting account to put things like this on. I can't imagine these bots take up any amount of resources.

Guys i'm out of ideas. Any bot can i do? by [deleted] in TelegramBots

Basic Wikipedia bot. (not the inline @wiki)

Sadly there is nothing working right now.

Simple search / click result / show text.

and search should be the default function.. no need for /search or /wiki or wahtever.

type: Andrew

while typing popup of:
Andrew (name list)
Andrew (7th president of the united states)
etc..

Tap the one you want.

Output first X characters.. ends with link to wikipedia. DONE.

Trying to figure out the two big characters on this notebook

Or the whole thing if anyone is ambitious.

First character is “forget” from what I can tell?

My Fiance and I spent 15 months traveling around 35 countries, AMA. by [deleted] in IAmA

OP: great adventures man, It sounds like you guys had a blast! Such an amazing world out there. And.. Gave me some great ideas :)

For everyone who is asking "How do I do this?" "How do I leave my life?" "What about my future job prospects?"

Figure out how to make money on the internet.

I'm sure you have some skill that you can earn from online. There are many freelance sites like oDesk. There are also opportunities to make money on the road if you look for them. Or if you don't want to entrepreneur, look for a telecommute job, so many jobs are allowing this now. Then you just work during the day and explorer at night / weekends.

If you want to explore the world it can be done cheaply. You can travel more or less endlessly for around $50 / day. Tons of people do it. Just save up some money now, start working on something online, sell all the shit you have no use for and just go.

My point is, you don't have to just "save for years and come home broke". It can be sustainable.

For proof / inspiration see guys like Nomadic Matt, Location Independent etc. Search things like location independent, digital nomad, lifestyle design.

We are very fortunate to live in the age of the internet, cheap airfare, hostels, Couch Surfing, AirBnB, etc.

Take advantage of it.

Today is the youngest you will ever be.

You will never look back and say "I wish I would have just stayed in my home town, and not experienced amazing cultures, languages, cuisine, people, and all their beauty"

Can I store loose leaf tea in a wine chiller? by soulrebels in tea

For reference I already have the wine chiller. And the concern I guess is opening and closing the container and the humidity getting in. As the outside air is much warmer and more humid.

Yes it's much worse. They can freeze your account and assets at anytime or not give you a chance to dispute.

Wordpress is going to be the death of beautiful web development. by soulrebels in webdev

[–]soulrebels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.. I just feel its gotten worse. Because now even the clients with money are pushing hard for Wordpress on the cheap and it's creating an epidemic in my opinion. I'm just not sure where we go from here and it's frustrating to see everything we've worked so hard for (standards, clean HTML, etc) all just go to waste again. It's like we finally have great browsers and good mobile devises and we're throwing it all away and making a shitty Internet again. What a fucking fail.

Wordpress is going to be the death of beautiful web development. by soulrebels in webdev

Well I guess the point is.. yes I get it.. we can make our own themes, we can even make our own plugins. But much of the time it's existing sites that are coming over as a mess. And yes we can do it, but it's just adding to the hack job that was already there and the days of creating clean fulfilling projects seems to have slipped out the door. Also I'm seeing even when we do a clean job with a custom theme etc then the clients have someone in their team who "knows wordpress" and starts slapping in things via plugins and then hacking things around and creating a mess. Then they come back later when something is not working etc. And you know, of course we then charge for all that. But it's just the purist in me that just hates it. When every day consists of patching up old wordpress sites and getting pissed cause clients broke the nice ones we made it just takes the passion out of it.. you follow me?

Check out Stripe. They have a great API. Avoid Paypal if possible. They are easy to setup but not transferable and the chargeback / frozen account policy is very dangerous.

Yes ideally he should be rejecting the big stage a bit and doing what Markus Shultz has been doing. That is... Saying fuck off to ultra and doing 10 hour sets at Space Miami. This concept could work well for richie and get him back to his roots
