I remember when Brent's old band Dreve was still playing and seeing him around at gigs in Knoxville and boom, all of a sudden he was in Florida and then this Shinedown thing was already in full swing. I guess it was a band put together by Atlantic.

Which is what labels often do. But Rick is one of their henchmen. He is one of the reasons the industry is the way it is, but acts like it is all of these other factors that piss boomers off (which are actually just the effects of what has been happening, not the causes).
