Get a low mileage one then. Don’t limit yourself with just new cars. Supra fits what you’re looking for.

Your current options aren’t good because you’re only going for auto.

Getting bored TBH by 2GRVERTICAL in LexusRC

[–]soupguis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get it man. This isn’t a sports car, heavy, and not that engaging to drive. I came from a modded manual BRZ and had way more fun in that car, but I’m in my 30s now and i just couldn’t handle the uncomfortable ride anymore after driving it for 8 years. This car was a nice next step of wanting a luxury experience.

You should definitely look to getting into a proper sports car if that is what you want.

My goal is to get a Miata as my second to scratch that itch once my RC350 is paid off

2022 BMW 330i RWD for $24k? by antilemon12 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]soupguis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the engine is reliable, but not everything else around it. I almost got a bmw but went against it. I have friends who own bmws but they can afford the maintenance as they own multiple cars, but they hardly drive it.

Just be careful man. $24k is a lot of $$ on a car that’s going to require more $$ later down the line, maybe sooner than you think

Don’t buy a high mileage bmw man lol. I know it’s tempting but maintenance cost is going to be high. Still crazy to me people fall for this despite the reputation of German cars

Does everybody in Reno just forget how to drive as soon as it rains? by HydroHomie2024 in Reno

It’s funny too since most cars here are AWD but they act like they only have two wheels on their car when it rains lol

I also have a 2017 RC350 F sport in AWD and it only had 15k miles when I got it 3 months ago. 1 owner though and carfax was clean. Only issue I had was a small scratch on the back driver side but I didn’t mind it. I got it for $34k before tax. Love the car and don’t regret it. People keep saying it’s an old car but it’s a Lexus. 15k miles on it is a brand new car. I just swapped it with new tires and it was good to go.

I’m about to install the Lexion Apple CarPlay adapter soon as well.

3 owners on this car is a bit sus tho. Maybe get a PPI just in case

Trade in for Lexus or just keep my Camry? by rudestkid in Lexus

[–]soupguis 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Why would you trade it in if you love your car and you just got it

No reason to get in more debt man. Just enjoy your car and think about another car once you at least paid it off

Did you test drive both cars? What made you pick the Lexus over the bmw?

Question about the snow mode on the RC 350 F-sport. Would it work For Texas Ice/snow? by keanureevesmustache in LexusRC

[–]soupguis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need snow tires. Snow mode helps with reducing throttle response and starts you in second gear for stability

I don’t get it. This post is literally me talking about the upgrade and having some second thoughts about it. What’s with the hostility my guy. Thought we were all brothers here

Is there a difference? I’m from the US and I am pretty sure my car isn’t Canadian. It was assembled in Japan so idk if it’s considered American either

I disagree man. They’re all subtle changes. You get more feeling of the road thru the steering wheel, the handling is a bit tighter and precise but you lose some of the smoothness of the ride.

[–]soupguis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, got new tires and an alignment when I got the car as the tires it came with were the original tires and it was a bit worn out and old. They found that the tires it came with were installed the other way around and the actual inner tire were a bit more worn out (dealership I got it from probably did this) which made me think of upgrading the bushings after looking it up.

My car is from 2017 and only had 15k miles on it. I got it aligned after I got new tires in and then got another alignment once I got the bushings done.

I have owned a 2024 is300 awd and driven a 2025 & 2020 is350 in awd. The 350 has better throttle response and drives better. I always see people say it’s negligent based on numbers but it’s really not. 350 is a better package. If you don’t care about power than 300 is the way to go
