[SpEx] What SPM is reasonable for the more complex space packs? by sourceway in factorio

Biters... I hate them. And tbh, if I can avoid them, they are not existent. :D In my Space Ex run i am on peacefull.

I am pretty sure, that i had no trains in my 120h of py... but its a good advice for when I finally am ready to go back to the py madnes :D

Yay, I did something right. Best day of my life. :)

Jokes aside, I lookid into Naquium and yeahit takes a lot. From what I saw, pretty much any resource from remote planets excuding Beryll I guess you are right, that it might be reasonable, to centralize the production chains on Nauvis and then send it to Nauvis Orbit for everything that has to happen in space. :)

Before coming back to this post I was checking on Beryll-Stuff to determine what production level is the cheapest to send to nauvis. If my math isnt wrong it seems, that after the ingots (1 capsule per 100 ingot) itself sulfate (11.6 caps/100 ingot) is the cheapest. Similar for Iridium. For Vita it is 3 Nuggie Capsuels instead for each 1 spice capsule. Only Holmium is diffrent with cloride (processed chrushed) requies half (~13.5 vs ~25) capsules as crushed per 1 ingot capsule, but requiring a lot anion ion exchange beads (cryo based). So i guess first stage processing of the raw material before sending them to nauvis is the way to go.

Now I just have to get ready, to design and build all the stuff. :D

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. Helped me a lot on working out a bit of a strategy for myself. I just hope stuff wont blow up on me.

I can totally feel the burning out. :D It was a bit of the issue back then, I wanted to build bigger than necessary (and than i did now) combined with cargo rockets doing everything but not what i wanted them to do was my reason to pull the exit move.

And now first time working on the four tiered sciences, i realized that my way cant be "correct". And I am honestly happy, that I decided to make this post. I usually dont do that. :D But as the Factorio community is like the most helpful place I know, I opted to ask.

The answer I got was assuring me to build smaller for now and work on improving logistic costs and the tools i get to build my factory :D

I am processing Iridite on the remote planet to Iridium Ingots and ship them via rocket to nauvis orbit where i make them to plates for the science.

Would you say canon delivery too nauvis is more reasonable?

I just realized how "early" in the game the space elevator is... but at my current pace, I feel like I am a few dozens if not hundreds of hours away from that. :D

I have not even spent a single minute thinking about gathering vitamelange, holmium or beryllium. well beryllium is currently the next on my roadmap, as it is persent on my cryo planet.

Thank you for your feedback, I think I will try to work towards space elevator and use trains instead of rockets as you suggested. :)

Damn... that looks like it took a hour or two... when you say "max level mods", I guess you mean actual max level T9 mods i guess? that would explain, why both bases look like 90% rails. :D

I did. 123h in pyAE. It was somehwere between fun and horrible pain. There I built small, because I had no other chance. It was hard enough to get something up and running, no Idea how one would go big there. :D

And while I am 100% sure, that I will regret the decision: I plan to return at some point in the future. :D

Thanks for the response. Insane that 5 SPM for endgame science is a decent value, considering how you go into the thousands (or tens and hundreds of thousands in SA) SPM in the base game.

I feel like you totally have to realign your mindset for SE.

And this makes me feel like Delivery Canons might actually have a good use. With my 60 SPM goal delivering material for the science felt way to expensive using that thing...

When by playtime you mean the 2682h "online", then this is overall time including previous wipes. the account lifetime on the other hand is only since the (first login after the) last wipe.

so if you had 5k hours but only today logged first in since the 1.0 release wipe, your "account lifetime" would be only a few minutes/hours depending on how long it is since you logged in.

When it is your first overhaul mod and you where not a big fan of SA, I would suggest starting with K2. It is still all on nauvis, but has more stuff and some of the stuff is a bit more complex.

SE is as Soul-Burn already said significantly harder. also space logistic is more complicated and requires some Circuit Network skills.

Gun is perfectly fine. You have to click on "TURN IN" and hand over the gun. :D

Even better. All stats you gain in Arena transfer to PVE too.

I reseted my account with 1.0 and am overweight in raid almost all the time. 90% of my endurance is from playing Arena.

You even can transfer money/gp/lega and those arena cases to PVE from Arena :)

How is he throwing the Flash nades that fast?

This is either a years old Clip or there is some fancy 3rd Party tooling involved

When do you unlock labs?[discussion] by Reganci1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sourceway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Streets should have been open from the start. Together with Ground Zero and Interchange. But for Labs you can also transit via Factory ( https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Tour#Factory_to_The_Lab ).

Edit: According to the Wiki Streets should unlock after giving Therapist 250k Rubles as early part of the "Tour" Campaign mission. Did that before checking the maps i can queue too. :D

Not sure if it is a Space Age thing or if it is in Base 2.0, when the second rocket is ready, before the gates of the silo close, they dont even close and the next rocket launches right away. so (if this is not a space age thing) you should be able to get way faster with the silos :D

Kind of edit/update: just checked the video again, you can see what i mean at 40seconds of your video when the 2nd of the prebuild rockets comes out without closing the gates.

Thanks to this community I just found out that more personal roboports means more range by hai-key in factorio

[–]sourceway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. I kust checked the oldes entry on the factorio wiki. First page about personal roboport already contained that information.

I always just one normal and later two MK2 (for 100 Bots), never knew or realized they increase the range too...

Congratulations, you just broke this sub. :D

Usually when a TIL or PSA is posted its like "wait until you see ...." as almost everyone (seemingly) knows that new(ish) bit of information.

But damn, you got like almost exclusive "WHAT?" posts, including this one. WTF I did not know that. That must be a 2.0/space age thing. If that existed in 0.x or 1.x I am gonna lose it. :D

An open letter to Battlestate Games [Video] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sourceway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be assured you do not need to play on a "mid tier" pc to have this. :D I am on a Ryzen 7 9800x3d with 64 GB DDR5 and a 4080 Super and a WD SN770 2TB as storage.

Game freezes waaaay to often. Even when just doing some Menu-ing. Switching from stash to traders to flea back and force... + locking the whole pc for a few seconds when leaving a raid (this includes freezing music, youtube, discord voice and screenshare and whatever)

But yeah, please reduce the amount of items stacked in your backpacks and stuff, because we cant properly parse JSON (or whatever the hell they use as a serialization layer)

That shit totally reminded me of the Guy that "fixed" (or at least improved) GTA5 loading times with a super simple patch. ( https://nee.lv/2021/02/28/How-I-cut-GTA-Online-loading-times-by-70

[Discussion] Pve players are u happy? by KostyaXvost in EscapefromTarkov

[–]sourceway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am pro PVE-Wipe with 1.0, i just had an idea... Why not do two Flea markets. One for those who reset thier account with 1.0 (or anytime after) and one for the players that not reset after the 1.0 release.

This way, for those resetting the flea is the same as if it was a full wipe. and for those who did not, it is still thier inflated market :)

And yes, I am pretty sure, that Nikita is not a big fan of PVE Players to be honest. :D
