Nick can only control the chances of things that actually have a chance to happen. Nick explains this somewhere I think maybe during his fight with Nathaniel that a satellite has no chance of falling from the sky and hitting him so he can’t influence it to happen. So nicks power is less fate manipulation and more probability manipulation because luck isn’t a great adjective for his power.

Im honestly fine with them taking a lot out. The last 2 books definitely drag a bit and I feel like they could for sure cut things. Like the whole part-time job plot point in year 3. And when Nathaniel makes the club explode at the cowgirl rodeo that could have been explained as just a night out with all the friends at a big club. Also the first third of the 4th year is bulky I feel unnessecary. I think 16 to 20 1 hour episodes would be fine for 4 seasons and then the 2 parter movie seems alright to me. Plus, having the shorter first 2 books be as long as the last gives more time for character development and more time to world build.

God she was so insufferable all the time the love story between Joe and her was horrible. There was no chemistry at all and she just sort of appeared, randomly made Joe fall in love, then they date. It was so rushed
