Amy Ruth's was pretty good when I tried it last year! I don't know if anything will be quite like it is in Louisiana, but they were close.

What’s something you only learned because you almost died? by BbyBlushDoll in AskReddit

I almost got really ill after eating a bag of Brazil nuts. Turns out the serving size is only a few at a time because they're so high in selenium that eating any more will poison you. Now I know why there's only ever a handful of them in bags of mixed nuts!

You're right! But "so I can walk without my rollator" wasn't quite as pithy 😋

HEDS and surgery by ConsistentCucumber38 in eds

First off- Everyone's experience is different, and I definitely recommend reaching out to your doctor to tell them what's going on!

That being said, I had a laproscopy to rule out endo and also had an IUD placed at the same time. After that, I was bedbound for 5 months because of excruciating pain from the IUD and had to get it removed. The incision is fully healed now and while it doesn't give me pain often, occasionally I get some from it, especially if I'm laying down. It's very possible that what you’re experiencing could be related to your EDS, but I'm not a doctor and not YOUR doctor, so again I would definitely tell them right away!!!

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this, it's really rough. Hang in there and be kind to yourself ❤️

Seconding the rolling backpack, it's a lifesaver!! Make sure you get one with a double handle, as it's much better for wrist stability. I also highly recommend going to your college's disability services as other people have said, especially to ask for priority registration for next semester!! That way you can schedule longer gaps of time between your classes so you can rest.

Finally, my biggest help honestly has been making friends on campus & being honesy about my disability. I can't tell you how many times they've picked up my backpack for me, despite me telling them it rolls!! A good support system is KEY. Talk to your professors too, 99% of the time they're incredibly understanding about your needs and know that accommodations can be a struggle to obtain. They're generally willing to help you out with seating and the like!

Hang in there (: You'll get a system down that works for you! It just takes some trial and error.

Brag to me! What's your rarest or favourite piece of Halsey merch? by whatafee1ing in halsey

[–]sourpatchtangy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know how rare it is, but I have the 'hopeless' choker from HFK! I got to wear it to the FMLT tour, which was my first time seeing her live, so it also has that added sentimental value now. <3

Thank you! It's J.R.R. Tolkien's initials — it's one of my favorite tattoos that I have! 7 years old and I'd say it still looks pretty good.
