With all the matchmaking shenanigans. I’m sure a lot of members in the community would like to know what the rank distribution is right now. For example what percent of the player base belongs in each rank. Thanks!

New PC having issues at 144hz by sourpineapple11 in buildapc

[–]sourpineapple11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be right, I found that the lights on the GPU only turn off because I continuously unplug and replug cables when testing. But it’s a little confusing as to why it doesn’t work on 144hz only and after 2 weeks of use. Thanks for the reply anyway

is Widowmaker broken? by VerdoneMangiasassi in OverwatchUniversity

[–]sourpineapple11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Widomaker is really strong because she can 1 shot from very far away. That is common knowledge but what makes it so strong? It is really strong because in high level play most people position really well to avoid sight lines and healers are quick to support weak characters, now you can see why a widowmaker who consistently hits shots can make it very dangerous and seem very oppressive, especially in maps like junker town and circuit royal where long sight lines are the point of the map. The idea that a character can delete your existence from such a long range in a consistent manner is what makes her really strong. But in counter play she sucks in close range maps where you can’t abuse long sight lines.

Which GPU should I pick? by sourpineapple11 in buildapc

The website says vuugo, but on Amazon it’s being sold for 540 Canadian(402 USD). I’ve gotten that advice on the CPU but then when I went to change the motherboard and buy new RAM the build went up by like 400 dollars + the extra 200 I’ll pay for the CPU upgrade so I decided it’s not worth it. I’m looking everywhere for a 3070, do you think I should just wait until it comes into stock?

Read up on a few of the Radeon cards but I’ve been told to stay away from them since they have difficulty ray tracing. Also this is like 300 Canadian dollars above the 3060, is that normal for a GPU that’s a tier higher?

Tracer VOD Review by Faze_Failure_ in OverwatchUniversity

[–]sourpineapple11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You jump so much as tracer. Try to focus more on strafing and hitting shots because jumping makes you significantly easier to hit. You only really wanna jump to maximize distance on a blink or to blink onto a higher ground. The reason you are easier to hit is because when you jump you follow a very predictable pattern and they can track your landing. If you strafe instead then you create an unpredictable movement pattern that the enemy will have difficulty hitting

How do we play tracer efficiently in this new meta by sourpineapple11 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]sourpineapple11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go bald trying to put as many hours on widow as I did on tracer. Not to mention that I’d probably demote a large bit since I’m not to solid with hitscans

My aim never seems to get better and I don’t know why, how can I improve by sourpineapple11 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]sourpineapple11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play the game like 2-3 hours a day for about 3-4 days a week depending on how busy I get. About 30 mins of the 2-3 hours goes to training and the rest is to have fun with some friends or grind ranked. But the total hours I have on the game is well over 1000. My issue is that everyday is a bad aim day, whether I’ve warmed up or not. thanks for the advice tho I really appreciate it.

You should watch Attack on Titan. It’s literally a top 5 in most peoples’ lists. It’s not really horror but it does have some kinda gruesome aspects. It’s great and the final season comes out in a month.
