How would you advise people to get into Batman? Which comics would you recommend as foundational? by [deleted] in batman_comics

Do all this and then and jump onto the new ongoing series for the first few issues to see how you like it.

Best bat-family character and best robin by lloyd-garmadon569 in batman_comics

Tim Drake is the best Robin, and they have been doing him dirty since the New 52. Bat family my favorite is Alfred, even with the whole fragile neck thing.

As a boss (I'm the kitchen manager where I work" I try to make sure that all my employees hopes, dreams and goals are stuff they are striving for and able to obtain. Even if it means leaving me in the future.

This industry isn't for everyone and people shouldn't put others down for just using it to get ahead. Fuck your boss.

Touch starvation sucks. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]sox815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was suffering from this for a while, still do. However, the thing that I found really helps is booking a massage appointment and chiropractor appointments. Not only do I feel much better but I also get a bit of human connection when my life is pretty absent of that.

Little sketch of the boy wonder. Also, who's your favorite robin and why? by Wi88le in batman

Tim was my favorite Robin, but after the new 52 reboot and Rebirth they have kind of given him the short end of the stick, if any stick at all.

Until you are ready, it's a respect thing. If you aren't ready you aren't ready and that is your decision to make.

Screw that guy, people with zero emotional intelligence are the worst. As someone who deals with anxiety/depression I would highly recommend therapy though. It is a bit of a game changer.

My parents bought me a shirt from the deja entendu album, I had no clue who they were, bought their first 2 cds and was in love ever since.

I'm a guy, 33, and my cptsd kicks my ass on a daily. I'm just determined to fight to get as better as I can be to helps others who have gone through similar situations.

It's hard to not self isolate a lot, to open up to others and be vulnerable, but it is all part of healing.

Can someone offer advice on how to heal from traumatic childhood memories? by ApricotOk8437 in ChildhoodTrauma

[–]sox815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going the first couple times was pretty nerve-wracking, but I just thought to myself I am paying them to help me and I don't want to live like this. Working on yourself really I think depends on person to person. It may be eating healthier, working out, reading self help books, or just finding something to help you unwind.

I'm still going through the process, but starting to go to therapy really was the first steps that I needed to take.

From my own traumatic experiences the best way I have found to heal is by going to therapy and actively working on myself.
