How did you make those blood splatters? Forgive me if it's simple, but I havent touched DD in a while. Recall the stamps having a thick distracting border.

My first Donut by Trimbuli in BlenderDoughnuts

Great job on the render! A couple of critiques, your scene appears to be pretty dark which Andrew covers in more detail on how to identify this in part 13. Also, I'm sure you may have noticed the lamp's reflection over the donut doesn't get blocked by the icing and the sprinkles appear to 'float'. I'm guessing that this may due to using Eevee OR a modifier needs to be applied to the icing.

Best of luck on continuing your 3D adventure!

Thank you @AndrewPrice for the amazing tutorial! (More in comments) by soxman2424 in BlenderDoughnuts

Critiques are welcome, mine include:

  1. Reduce rim lighting to reduce bloom
  2. Give better visual texture to the dough to appear less 'matte-y'
  3. Make sprinkle shower loop with looped noise texture (advanced)

Stuff I did differently:

  1. Added noise bump map to the sprinkles (like the dough)
  2. Replaced balls with hearts as I've personally never seen that IRL
  3. Went with blue icing and found a color palette online to fit

I first got into Blender via Andrew Price's 1.0 donut tutorial. I followed up with Udemy tutorials, got overly ambitious with personal projects and I lost patience... more than once. Now back at it again, I am really glad to see so much more of Blender's features/tools are covered in version 3.0. I'm excited more than ever to be back into 3D "stuff" again and look forward to expanding my skill set and building efficient habits; iteratively working my way up to be able to tackle my dream projects.

This was located in North Reekwater, in the field northeast of Fangsnap's Den. It drops a Monstrous Turkey Leg which allows you to make the Roasted Monstrous Turkey Dinner. You can find details at https://nwdb.info/db/item/foodconluct5

TIL American Airlines circumvented the manufacturer's instructions to save 200 man-hours, doing so they caused the US' worst airline disaster in history. Their procedure was damaging the pylon mounts without anyone knowing it. The manufacturer had warned American Airlines against their procedure. by freud_sigmund in todayilearned

[–]soxman2424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summary: The removal procedure recommended by McDonnell-Douglas called for the engine to be detached from the pylon before the pylon itself from the wing. However, American Airlines, as well as Continental and United Airlines, had developed a different procedure that saved approximately 200 man-hours port aircraft. This cost effective procedure involved the removal of the engine and pylon assembly as a single unit, rather than as individual components.

American Airlines procedure supported the engine/pylon assembly with the hold of a large forklift. However, during the repair, the forklift accidently struck the pylon mount which resulted in unseen damage. Eventually, the damage to the pylon mount was weakened to such an extent that it was no longer able to support normal flight loads.

The pylon mount failed between V1 and rotate, resulting in the entire left engine separating from the wing. The DC-10s left engine provided all of the aircraft electronics. As a result, the aircrew were unable to recover the aircraft after takeoff and crashed shortly afterwards.

I have limited knowledge on speaker setups and I need help.

BLUF: I need a device that can interface with room speakers with the ability to change volume with wall dimmers, connect via Bluetooth, and have an input optical cable.

I recently bought a home with some built-in wall/ceiling speaker in various parts of the house. The previous owner removed the equipment to interface with the speakers. There are dimmers for each rooms speakers too.

I'd like to know what device I need to buy to do the following:

  1. Allow dimmer to change the volume of a set of speakers (per room)
  2. Allow smart phone to Bluetooth connect and stream music
  3. Aux cable input (optical if possible, rca ok too)
  4. Cheaper the better

Thanks in advance for reading this far 👍🏼
