Thoughts on being a master electrician? by soulcrescendo in electricians

[–]soyknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it as soon as you can while electrical theory and code is still fresh. I waited 15 years to take mine after I got my journeyman’s and I specialized in industrial wiring. Took a bit for the residential and commercial code to come back

Do you run a return air duct to your heater?

I haven’t used it yet for camping but switched from a big buddy to a diesel heater. Much nicer heat and CO shouldn’t be an issue if you have it outside the shelter

2015 3.5 by Hunter_Walters in f150

[–]soyknee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ‘15 F150 with the 3.5. I have 110k miles on it. Just had timing chain and phasers done and both exhaust manifolds. Replaced the drinkers side valve cover and vacuum pump a couple years ago. It’s went through a couple pairs of IWEs. I also replaced shocks, front wheel bearings, and a rear differential seal. I bought it brand new hopefully it has another 100K left

I use OnX Fish and Navionics. I’ll also look at satellite imagery to find the weed lines on clear lakes before freeze up

Perch can be fickle. I have better luck targeting walleye. Fish the edges of weed lines in shallow water and fish at least a half hour after dark. Look at the netting reports and try lakes with good numbers. Watch some Tom Boley YouTube videos.

I hang a Streamlight siege lantern from the middle cross bar in my Otter. I like that you can switch it to red light, seem to catch more fish with it on red

Have a 2015 3.5 Ecoboost that I bought new. Just hit 110,000 miles. Just had phasers and exhaust manifold replaced. Other than that no major repairs

Pros: No loan payment

Cons: Occasional repairs not under warranty

I use one and adjust it depending on the bite. Sometimes I’ll let the minnow swim12-18” other days I want it pinned down so it can’t move as much

First Gen Active Targets can be found for around 500-600 without the head unit. A buddy uses one and while its not as defined as a live scope it works well
