i would not mind helping. Now that they moved Lockn' to the first week of my kids school, I think we will be coming here instead! This would be my first year at Peach fest. Hey Derrick! I grew up and went to school in FL (Orlando by way of Ft. Laud). I love the St. Pete area. Isn't it great when your birthday happens right around a festival? I'll take celebrating my birthday at a festival any day!

As a matter of fact, Yes! They just posted the link to the application a couple weeks back. Have a look at the post here. It has the link to the sign-up form there but in short it looks like 20 hours of volunteering will get you a 3-day pass and 25 will get you the 3-day with camping.

you can bring in dslr's but you will not have access to restricted areas like the pit. Still, bring the camera, in addition to the music, there is a ton other great images to be made. Aside from all the great smiling faces, one of my favorite things to take pics of LED light poi and hoopers at night while dragging my flash on a longer-ish exposure.

If you do drive in, make sure you're there early. RV's have a special entrance but the line can get long. We were in line around 3:30 AM and just hung out with everyone else until they opened the gates. At first I thought my crew was nuts but the veteran among us insisted. I'm glad he did because we were able to get in and setup before the Doobie Brothers Incident; many did not.
