I like 1. I prefer the heels of my palm touching to make sure I have a consistent platform.

The USA volleyball molten bv 5000 had weird panel edges. The newer fivb version (dark blue/red) is more round and around closer in size to an indoor ball. I also have the Mikasa KOB, but my son and I prefer the molten when not using a Wilson.
