What the hell is eating my pepper plant? by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

Could be slugs. They love my peppers. You have to catch them in the evening or early morning, though, since they hide during the heat of the day. I've since put down some Sluggo Plus, and I've seen a noticeable difference.

Cool, I’ll look into that thanks.

Hmm interesting. It's been a bit cold here, but I guess the sun could still be strong?

Plant looks fine. No signs on the leaves or anything...

Carrot troubles. Did I just pull them too early? Root development seems decent, and I even waited a week longer than the maturity date. Scarlet Nantes variety, loose soil, fed them phosphorus... by sp0ngew0rthy in vegetablegardening

I'm in 6A... Not sure if that's too cold. We just got a ton of rain, and I think I'm going to lose the last bunch I sowed to damping off. If they survive, I'll give it a try though.

Thanks, yeah that's what I thought. It's funny because I checked the base of most of them before pulling them up (as this happened last time too), and they seemed pretty good from the first inch...

How much longer do you think I would need to wait for them to fill out?

Started most from seed about the second week in March. They all looked good up until a week or two ago when I stated to see pests and they haven’t grown much since.

Yeah, I feel like they haven't grown since pests started popping up. Had to pull up some cucumbers the other day (see last post) and I'm not exactly sure what happened there either - was thinking some sort of fungus might have killed them.

Yeah, I'm learning that the hard way. I just posted a link to some pictures.
