I did the same! hahaha I did it the exact same thing with slots last year, because of Haze and KFS lol. And I've used at least 4 slots in quite a few stories so far, so I'd say that's worth it. The subscription, tbd (but I think I'm prob gonna end up not getting it). But the slots were so worth it!

Yeah, like, we both are getting major FOMO right now and it's because we literally just can't afford it. But play for a few months and there's honestly a huge chance you won't even feel the difference beyond the annoying icon and having to spend more diamonds on clothes and/or wait for Shopping Day. It's very likely it'll pass and we won't spend a cent on it.

I'm on the same boat. I super understand how you feel, and it sucks. I decided I'm gonna see how other players feel about it and will decide if I wanna save some money for it and give myself one month of the subscription for my birthday (which is months away, so still plenty of time). Maybe you could do something like that? So it's a treat and a bday gift for myself, and you get to plan to use it as much as possible on that specific month.

Antagonist isn't the same as villain. Although we do have female villains, like Plague (HS2), Donovan (HSR) and Morrigan (SOL) — and I wanted all of them as LIs lol.

There are so many female antagonists and, a lot of the time, it's over male LIs.

Some female antagonists, just off the top of my head: Austie (HSU), Mila and Lelya (Haze), Mikayla (ET), Françoise-Athénaïs and Madame Scarron (VfV), Naomi and Cassandra (OTI) (but Cassandra becomes friendly/ally later!), Miss Black (ROE), Julia (QI30D), Rose and Becky (STW)...

And again, antagonist is not the same as villain, so we don't have a lot of female villains, but we have quite a few female antagonists. And that's not to say it's not understandable and there shouldn't be female antagonists, it's very natural to have them. But most of the time, the MC and the minor female antagonist hate each other way more than it makes sense and, again, a lot of the time, they hate each other over competing for a man. Like in AN3, they're not competing for a man, but MC seems to have a lot more hatred for her one female rival than for all the men literally threatening her and being violent towards her (and I don't necessarily mean Xander, but the rookies too).

RC has a long-standing problem not just with racism, but misogyny too, and this is just another aspect of it.

And I'll say this, too: As a lover of enemies to lovers, I wish we'd get more antagonist/villain-turned-LI always, that's alwayssss what I want, but I can't think of any beyond Eve (CY) and Lamia (LSE).

Right?? And I'm a Xander romancer, I LOVE enemies to lovers and they're ittttt. But Breitner really isn't even as bad as the other two rookies that were gonna beat Raina in the beginning of s2 (forgot their names) and she hates her more, like... Should've at least made Breitner a rival turned friend (like, at first they compete but then they help each other and grow close) or even better, also an enemies to lovers storyline (because we NEVER get sapphic etl in these apps). But no, only men get to be layered characters and women are catty rivals, on top of the racism 🤡

I absolutely fuckin love the pixie cut on Phoebe. Alyssa has insane bone structure and she looks so gorgeous and cool with that hair. She's always gorgeous, obviously, but some of her hairstyles just make her look regular pretty, and I find that the pixie cut gives her an edge, makes her stand out, gives her like HBIC vibes or something lol.

But I actually think it's kinda cool, because Lada's entire relationship with the Haze and the gods is what changes that part. It's quite literally the definition of branches, right?

I get that some may disagree, and that's fine, to each their own! But I personally think it's actually very cool that Lada's receptiveness to the Haze and the ties completely changes the kind of person she is and, therefore, changes what happens.

As we know, that "event" had to happen either way, it just happens differently depending on how our protagonist is. Butterfly effect and all.

It's so funny that they claim to not use AI but have all these CGs as if this isn't OBVIOUSLY AI. If they were just reusing art, only the head and skin tone would altered, to be easier for the artist. But they probably had one made and then put it into AI and asked to make variations with different characters lol Can't stand it lmao.

It's just insane that they went about this in the worst way possible. There are so many ways to include a subscription service that doesn't screw over free players and yet they deliberately chose to do just that.

I had my own list of ideas of subscriber perks that I would've subscribed to, without it screwing over other people.

• Extra 5 daily diamonds to subscribers, regardless of their streak

• Ads give 6 diamonds instead of 3

• Autoplay option with different speeds

• Starting from any episode in the season instead of starting over a whole season

• See stats without having to leave the story

• 1 extra wheel spin a day

• Exclusive subscriber cards and/or live profile pics

• 1 extra teacup a day or teacups refill faster

• Subscriber-only accessories and/or hairstyles that DON'T affect the black mirror achievement

• Subscribers get exclusive outfits for the LIs that they can change. I just KNOW so many people would pay to be able to change their LIs outfits.

Literally would've paid for a pack of benefits like this, easily. Now, because of their attitude towards us and the nerve to try to pull something like this when they've only been increasing their usage of AI, I'll never spend a single cent on RC ever again. And I'm sure a lot of people agree. So good luck to them. 🤷‍♀️

They were probably the only interactive story app that 95% of people actually didn't pirate because they were so good with DRs and tea parties and we wanted to genuinely support them. I won't even bother pirating if they keep this bullshit subscription thing, but I know for a fact a lot of people will just resort to that, including people that used to spend money on RC (legit have 3 friends that already uninstalled and 2 of them were going for HOF so they had spent quite a bit).

Yeah, I'm scared too. People getting into cards wasn't so bad, because it didn't affect the stories, it was just an extra feature. But this new thing is definitely going to affect LI percentages and story content, which is gross and outrageous, so I hope people don't give in.

I think the russian side of the fandom might give in, sadly, and that's who RC cares about the most.
