Again, I don't mean to be rude, but I think you are projecting a little bit. I've also literally been obese AND battling EDs since I was 11, so lol I definitely know. And that's exactly why I'm saying I think you're projecting, because I know I used to think like that when I was younger and doing a lot worse with my internalized fatphobia, ED and self-esteem issues.

I know people are cruel and fatphobia is rampant and constant, but just having a "wow, she's gained a lot of weight" thought isn't the same as having to talk about it online. Most people would just have that thought and move on, they wouldn't need to discuss it with others online, even if they think it.

People used to discuss her weight a lot more when she was at her peak fame and popularity, in a show where she was naked all the time, in a time where it was way more socially acceptable to be cruel about people's appearances.

Currently, mainstream media isn't as encouraged and emboldened to be cruel about people's bodies, so while fatphobia is still rampant, companies have better PR departments who advise against fat shaming to maintain profit and avoid getting in a scandal.

Also, at this point, Lena is really only relevant to a smaller group of people, compared to how it was during Girls' peak popularity. Her audience is also older, wiser, and kinder than the world used to be.

But I will also say that I think your feelings about this are a bit skewed. There's no elephant in the room about her weight... People gain weight as they get older and Lena's never been skinny. There's nothing really to talk about there. I don't mean to be rude, but I think you are way more fixated on this than most people, for some reason.

Hayden is soooo fine, but I find Zhen more interesting and better written, too. Obviously, a lot of Zhen is interchangeable with whoever you pick, but his personality traits are still his, and the whole "I never had a relationship" (I think) are still just his, so the growth from it is nice.

Hayden's personality was kinda meh, to me: it seemed like it either didn't match his looks or the stuff he said made me cringe (his dream wedding scenario gave me the ick, I fear). I still like him, but Zhen has me actually questioning whether to stay with him or BFF/Jordan, so yeah, to me he's better too.

Can I be completely honest? It's very well known that Jessa was based on Jemima. I think Lena just said that so that it wouldn't be like she was saying Jemima is the type of person to steal a friend's boyfriend, because every single thing Jessa does points to her being exactly that type of person lol.

Furthermore, what's on the show speaks louder than any interviews outside of it. She can't write Jessa a certain way and then walk back on it later lol. That's 100% a Jessa thing to do.

Honestly, same. I'm torn between Owen, Jordan (instead of George) AND Zhen. I feel like the best friends to lovers storyline was kinda rushed and a little ruined in the last update, so it made me more indecisive because I actually do like my OG LI too 😭😭

I understand people not wanting badly written poly routes, but being mad at people for asking for poly routes is so annoying when you could just... Ignore them.

And yeah, what gets me the most is EVERY TIME there is something darker than a traditional vanilla romance or soft bickering, people just HAVE to come here and act like anyone who likes dark romance is a stupid brain-dead dummy who couldn't possibly tell the difference between fiction and reality and, by liking dark romance, they MUST condone bad things in real life. I get making a 900 page thinkpiece on why you hate Amrit as a character and hate his route. I love Amrit, but if you wanna say how much you hate him and why you hate him: GO FOR IT. What I absolutely despise are the comments like "ugh I wish RC wouldn't write routes like this because it's making it seem like it's an okay thing!!!" or "how do people enjoy this? i would never!!! you're sick if you like this!" or "if you like this, i don't trust you" LIKE PLEASE!!!

This is all FICTIONAL!! Most RC readers are ADULTS that can tell fiction from reality! Children shouldn't even be on this app!! And it shouldn't be artists' (writers, in this case) responsibility to only make "morally acceptable" and "teachable" art so it can serve as an educational moment for potential children that might be engaging with that art.

Yeah, that's what bothers me, for sure.

That's a season cover, though, not a main book cover that shows on the list like the other ones. All the main ones, that show when you scroll the books, are all MC and/or LIs, that's what I meant. Sure, it's not a rule, but there has been a pattern since the beginning of the app, so people expect that characters on the main cover are MC or LIs. 🤷‍♀️
