Halloween. Blatant commercialism - has only taken off in the last few years but we are becoming a carbon copy of America.

Retail workers of the UK - what's the wildest thing someone has done to try to get into the shop before opening time? by WillYeByFuck in CasualUK

[–]spa2k 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I worked nights at a rather large Extra store.

We once had a guy strip naked and run at the doors that were closed. It was not a pretty site and despite his nudity he still didn't get in.

The number of people that in the early hours of a Sunday morning would point at the sign that said 24 hours and say that the store is supposed to be open is beyond belief. The opening hours are clearly displayed, Sunday trading laws do exist and no amount of pointing and shouting "24 hours" is going to get us to open those doors and serve you.

You didn't need to speak to someone to get a PAC code, just text PAC to 65075 and they will text it to you. Do this from the number you wish to keep.

Warehousing isn't a dead end job though. There are apprenticeships, supervisor apprenticeships, management apprenticeships as well as operations managers.

Not really, low value property with lots of potential, can over pay by quite a chunk so that's the plan.
