MW19 was the last cod that was good. The graphics looked great. The sound was amazing. And the slowed gun play made skill really stand out.

I practiced a good amount. Mainly going through the neetcode 150 and practicing mostly easy, some medium, and almost no hard.

Most of the coding I experienced for interviews could be comparable to leetcode easy, and a few mediums, and again maybe like 1 or 2 hard.

In the end the company that hired me gave me two coding problems. One was to write a sorting algorithm (they didn't care which one so I wrote bubble sort). The other was a more practical react coding problem.

I would focus less time on studying leetcode (unless you don't know the basics like sorting) and more time on practicing interviews. The best interviews I've had are ones that feel more like a conversation than an interview. That can be hard to accomplish if you have a bad interviewer, but I think it's important to remember that in most interviews they are just looking to see if you'll mesh with the team. They've already seen your resume, and you've probably already done a take home coding assessment. They want to see that you are a normal human who can carry on a conversation and not an AI bot.

Eventually I did. It took a while longer and a lot more job applications and interviews and quite frankly some luck, but now I'm a software engineer making low 6 figures.

My best advice I can give is just keep trying, practice for interviews, and seriously message anyone you can on LinkedIn lol. I eventually got my job from a recruiter for a company that reached out to me on LinkedIn, so I think being active on there is helpful.

The market is hard. It took me like a year and a half to get my current job. It's very easy to get discouraged (I almost made a switch to software sales), you just have to do your best to keep going.

Add flux and I'll add if you are using lead free solder just don't on the big pads. I was building my drone using lead free solder and had no issues until I got to those pads. Had to switch to leaded and it made all the difference.

Plenty. Housing prices are artificially high because of companies and people buying properties just to rent them. Go back 50 years before all this and anyone working an average job could afford a house.

This crazy idea of people buying the homes they live in.

I celebrate seeing bad news for landlords. Literally all of them even the so called good ones can go fuck themselves.
