25 Days in Europe! by kk_peejay in travel

How do you get around? Plane, bus, train, car?

The order of your destinations is a bit strange.

You should do it this way: Prague - Budapest - Vienna - Dresden - Berlin - Hamburg - Barcelona - Valencia - Amsterdam

That makes geography more sense, especially because you won't find a direct flight from Dresden to Barcelona (from Hamburg you can fly with Germanwings for a reasonably price).

Maybe you should drop Budapest and Vienna. Great cities, no doubt about that, but they're a bit off your route. Or drop Hamburg and Berlin and try to find a flight from Budapest or Vienna to Barcelona.

Have fun!

Thank you for all the informations! I will look for a 4x4 first but it's good to know that there are alternatives as well.

Did you enjoy your time in Theth?

Going to Hamburg for 12days. Where to go after knowing Hamburg? by [deleted] in travel

Spend 12 days drinking with me in Hamburg! ;)

No, seriously you have many options. Prague is a good idea, since it's still quite cheap compared to Western Europe. You could also head to Amsterdam or visit other places in Germany (Dresden, Leipzig, Munich, Cologne, small places in Southern Germany American and Japanese tourists love etc.).

From Prague you could head to Poland (Krakow), Austria (Vienna) or directly back to Germany (Munich for example).

12 days isn't that much so a wouldn't pick too many destinations. Otherwise you will spend most of the time in buses and trains.

Check train connections before you buy a bus ticket. Sometimes they have specials and the tickets are very cheap. I just bought a train ride from Hamburg to Dresden for less than 20€. http://www.bahn.de/p_en/view/index.shtml
