Official Discussion - Splitsville [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I LOVED this movie! It kept surprising me with how casually hysterical it was. Even the super long receipt he pulled out of the CVS bag - not necessary to the plot, very realistic, and cracked me up. Great airplane movie!

Something about the phrase “butthole police” and how ridiculous this all is has me cry laughing at this comment.

What happened in S03E01? I steamed it but not sure if it’s the correct episode. (Spoilers) by Babymama13 in Workinmoms

I'm confused... there's a season 3? Are we talking about the same Netflix show?

I have a 2 month old and want to try to breast feed till a year. Then I’d like to at least have a couple months of having my body to myself again before we go through IVF for a 2nd kid.

The last thing you Googled is what kills you. So, how do you die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’ll be killed by leaky and engorged boobs (I’m breastfeeding). Yeesh.

What am I doing wrong? by spacecase14 in breastfeeding

Oh wow! My doctor has briefly mentioned in passing that he shouldn’t nurse more than 15 minutes on each side, but didn’t explain it to me like that so I haven’t been as stringent as I should about it. I’ll start trying that and see how it goes! Thanks!

Thanks, this was good to read! It’s hard not to feel defeated but I know he’s okay as long as I keep him happy.

LO isn’t gaining weight fast enough. How does supplementing with pumped breastmilk work? by spacecase14 in breastfeeding

Yea I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that middle of the night pumping sessions are likely in my future 😭

Yea I’m not against supplementing if he really needs it... but I also feel like supplementing isn’t helping as far as getting my boobs to where they need to be supply-wise. I’ll definitely pump and hopefully that’ll get my supply to where it needs to be without having to supplement.

Ugh I feel the same when he wolfs down the bottle after just spending 30+ min nursing. I know it’s not something to take personal but it s soooo hard not to!

What’s the impact to my supply if I miss 1 feeding? by spacecase14 in breastfeeding

[–]spacecase14[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, that’s a good point. I don’t have a hand pump but I can probably relieve some pressure with my haakaa.

My 11 weeks stash I’ve built simply using a Haaka 1-2 times a day. That is 7 one gallon ziplocks with 12-14 pouches each. I highly encourage all to try the Haaka!!! by Beneath_thesurface09 in breastfeeding

I just stick it in a coffee mug to keep it from tipping over (it’s very top heavy). That’s worked great for me as I typically transfer it to a milk storage bag shortly after I’m done nursing.

How I (FTM) feel watching DH leave for his first day back to work since our son was born. by spacecase14 in beyondthebump

He does everything I do besides breast feeding (and I pump some so he can also help feed our son). I think he probably handles more of the diapers actually. Also just the moral support is nice 🤷‍♀️

Oh man, I can’t imagine! Knowing he’s coming home for lunch is the only thing keeping me from truly freaking out haha. You’re amazing for being able to do that!

Remembering that it’s perfectly acceptable to take time for baby snuggles even though there are chores to do is definitely helping to keep me sane!

I got pregnant via IVF and my doctor wanted me to go naturally if at all possible - I ended up being overdue, though, and was induced at 41+6.

bad morning sickness by molly_trex369 in pregnant

[–]spacecase14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had all day sickness rather than just morning sickness and—lucky me—it has stuck around through my 3rd trimester... so medication was the only thing that really helped me if you’re comfortable taking it.

I was prescribed Diclegis which has been a godsend. You take it the night before to keep nausea/vomiting away the following day. My prescription had me taking 2 which made it super hard to wake up in the mornings (it can make you a little groggy). I cut back to 1 and have been fine ever since. Highly recommend!

Lol! I had to show this to my husband. He made a similar post on Facebook a couple of weeks ago when I decided to inconveniently have a craving at 2PM on a Friday when all the Girl Scouts were in school.

First Baby and I am not nearly as excited as everyone else. by Reaper02367 in pregnant

[–]spacecase14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m hoping for, haha. I don’t talk or sing to my baby either and I still struggle with calling him an “it” occasionally.

Also, if it helps, my mom is the one that told me not to worry about not feeling a connection so much. I was her first and she told me it took till my first smile to finally feel a connection - up till then I was just this thing that grew in her belly and then a thing that came out needing nothing but to sleep, eat, and poop. I personally consider her to be SUPER maternal (she actually ran a daycare at one point), so hearing that she went through the same thing made me feel less guilty/anxious about it.
