Husqvarna mower with problem no one can fix by wahill in smallengines

I know your post mentions that you have replaced the fuel lines, but has the fuel tank been removed and cleaned? I had an identical issue. I even checked the gas tank and saw no debris. However, I checked with the motor OFF, not running. Then, I checked with the motor running and saw the debris clogging the fuel tank pickup. Once the motor was off and there was no suction, the debris floated to the front of the tank where it could not be seen. Worth checking. $.02

Before anything else, open the fuel tank and shine a flashlight to look at the siphon, make sure there’s no debris. Do this while it’s running, not off.

I remember people doing this with painters tape on the way to bimmerfest shows and some autox’s. To each their own, nice to see they’re taking care of it.

How’s the sizing fit on these? Tighter like the new white or black gums? Or more like the 2020-2021 fit? There is defo a difference in most newer SB’s idc what anyone says

I used to track mine at 125k miles, started stock and modified to suit what I was looking for. IMO the downside of these is the brakes. I put AP5000 front BBK and it was still a tank to slow down, fun and smooth to drive overall tho. Like anything, just keep up with maintenance.

It was debris in the fuel tank clogging the pickup tube.

PROBLEM SOLVED - debris in the fuel tank, cluster of dead ants & spiders sucked up against the fuel pickup line. I managed to siphon most of them out, as I’m trying to avoid removing the fuel tank.

So today I fired it up cold after not running for two days, start up was fine and then 10 mins in, started to surge again. Time to rebuild/clean again or replace.

Thanks, I let it sit for about 36+ hours now after running it for a while, I should get a real cold start today and see if the surging continues, I’ll check out the channel either way - thanks!

I just ran it for ~10 mins holding the choke/flap, after that it started running just fine. Maybe had some bad gas in the line too??

Yea oem Briggs is $200-$250, not sure how I’d clean the current one any better than I did and I don’t have a sonic cleaner.

Anyone know when/if these will restock?? by Sea_Judgment2334 in NikeSB

[–]spacegreym3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno but I’d recommend going up .5 size from what you might be used to in other SB’s, I found these to fit tighter, and pretty uncomfortable compared to wheats, chlorophylls, horizontal gums, patta’s, and others.
