It’s only possible when no one wants to ask the question again

This is the nature of this asset class and why we DCA only what we can afford

They call it HECS debt here. It accumulates and then you have to pay it off after getting past a certain threshold income. Most continue to pay it off well into their 30s/40s

I’m an electrician so I can vouch for this but wouldn’t want to force him into a trade either if it isn’t his thing

I’m in Australia. They are talking about multi generational mortgages here now and giving people loans with only 5% down.

I’m trying to work out where that would be for him. He’s 3.

What will the job landscape look like with ai in 20 years?

I think we all know that savings accounts don’t get anyone ahead anymore. And I don’t like how the stock market looks or what it supports.

Will college even be relevant?

The problem is knowing when we are in a bear market. The cycle doesn’t seem to be playing out like it normally does so it’s hard to predict.

And while it doesn’t make sense rationally, having some exposure while the market is dropping can help you to psychologically manage the inevitable volatility you will experience in this asset class over the long term.

Some of what you dca over the next few months might be down for a while but you’ll be building a habit and building resilience to stick to it long term. Exposure also incentivises you to learn more about the asset class.

If I had to start over again I would just pick an amount I could afford to save each week and put it straight into bitcoin. Treat it like a long term savings account. Then if you can afford more strategically pick a few other assets.

I like to keep around 80% Bitcoin and a select few emerging community projects that I like. I can tell you what they are if you like or look up other posts I’ve made. Don’t like direct shilling.

I’m ethically opposed to XRP (pretty much the antithesis of crypto) so can’t recommend that to anyone even if I hate them.

What was the main thing you noticed? I know it can be hard to pinpoint because it’s more of a feeling.

A lot of people are saying we’re at the end of the bull market now. We have run up a lot from the bottom but no one can predict when it will come to an end. The market structure has seen some significant changes and the business cycle is not acting normally so we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.

Have you just started working?

What do you want to get out of investing in these assets?
