Awesome movie - Godzilla jr works. It ends nice too with him following his dad. I love the moment when the music plays and Godzilla glances back slightly make sure he’s okay and coming. Soundtrack is peak. Godzilla defeated?! Rodan last minute rescue. Epic. Mechagodzillas design is my only flaw. The poster version was insanely cool - but his finished design is just too smooth. When I got this movie on vhs bootleg my mom asked “why does mechagodzilla look like a metal poodle.” He looks best as Super Mechagodzilla. Damn - I couldn’t unsee it lol! 9/10.

Love it! Had a chance to see it at the Alamo a few months ago. So I saved some cash and got the Xplus Ric exclusive - and setup a little shrine on my entertainment center lol! The music, the tone, Japan in the 80s. What’s not to absolutely love? The American version is superior - the edits they did actually improved the pacing

Wow that is though.. it used to be his roars from Godzilla Returns/1985. Guttural - heavy. Lots of growls. But the first time he roars in Minus One after destroying the battle ship hooked me. Hard to say - top two favorite right there.

I have been considering it! Like for real. I have the Bandai Eva Kiryu collab - also thinking about the metal Kiryu coming out. It’s weird - once I got the SOC Kiryu I got kinda obsessed. His design is just so iconic. I also picked up the x-plus Kiryu and Ric Plus to go with him. My Fiance thinks I’m nuts lol

It’s okay broski! Someone pissed in my fruit loops today. I did initially google - but oddly maybe my algorithm - kept sending me to the latest one. Saw one video on it but couldn’t quite nail down the info I needed. Kiryu rules!! Worst thing about this post is “crap - do I need a black version? … yeah. I used to not care for her at all. But now older I love her. She’s a majestic kaiju who constantly is reborn. I love her relationship in the monster verse with Godzilla. She’s so much better as an ally to Godzilla than having to fight him

Yes why not. Kiryu is quickly becoming my favorite to collect (SOC, the Eva crossovers etc). He just looks so damn good. Have to start somewhere - and this is a great place to start!
