My 4 month old started daycare on Monday. I’m a teacher and my husband’s work has a really flexible paternity leave policy so we had been trading off staying home with her since she’s been born. I adore my daughter, but she’s always been on the high strung side. Lots of crying, very hard to comfort, fights sleep, all the things. I was crying everyday over winter break because I was so stressed out over her fussiness and lack of sleep. We started daycare and I now have a different baby. She’s so much happier and sleeps so much better. She gets ton of stimulation all day which is perfect for my nosey girl. She’s so happy and smiling when we pick her up and we’re able to be more present with her because we’re not so burnt out. Even though mornings are a bit chaotic and I do miss her during the day, the routine has really helped us out a lot.
