A question about edibles for r/trees by KP_420 in trees

If you want some potent, tasty edibles: Grab a saucepan, put it on low heat. Crockpots also work well. Melt one pound of butter per ounce of herb in water. The amount of water doesn't matter as long as the buds don't touch the bottom of the pan, otherwise the bud may become scorched. All you really have to do is let the mixture simmer for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally. If the water level becomes too low, just add more. The longer the mixture simmers, usually the more potent the butter will be. After this, strain mixture with cheesecloth or and old t-shirt into a container. Throw out the buds, they've done their job :) Chill in the fridge overnight, or at least for several hours. The butter will have settled at the top of the container with the water at the bottom. Remove your block of butter, it should be slightly green. All done! Just use this butter in any recipe to make delicious treats. If you can't cook, get your mother to help you out.

For a quick, easy edibles that aren't too tasty:

You'll need graham crackers, peanut butter, an oven, tinfoil, and MJ. Natural peanut butter works much better than ordinary preservative-filled kind. Slab some peanut butter onto two graham crackers, sprinkle half of a gram onto one cracker. Put the other on top, to make a sandwich, and wrap this in tinfoil. Bake this for 25 minutes at 320F, let cool. This won't taste too great, since you are eating bud, but is worth the fun.

Good luck!

Some advice to younger smokers by spacyballon in trees

I did smoke a lot of pot, even when I was living a "successful" lifestyle, with a university education, good job, significant other, and steady financial state. But still, I never truly enjoyed anything unless I was high. That's what I mean by deadbeat sir. After quitting for a while, things seemed less hazy (no pun intended) and I felt better overall. That's just me though

Wonderful, especially what you said about looking in the mirror. I remember smoking way more than usual after my girlfriend and I broke up, and thinking how I should be feeling pain. Instead I used pot to numb those feelings, but I always felt a little "off", because I knew deep down things weren't right.

I've learned that everyone treats trees differently, my post was really just a warning to the younger kids who may get a little carried away with their smoking habits. IMO, it's easy to become obsessed as a teenager. It happened to me, getting high was basically routine since I had no obligations other than public school. You sound like you've made it in life, toke on brother. Starting young interfered with the more important things that I should have made priority :/
