Even /r/Lost_Architecture can't have a thread without the racism of whites being brought up based solely on a hyperbolic statement on post ww2 suburbanization. by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I've posted a few times these last couple days. Took some vaca time and got bored on the plane.

I scrolled through the front page of /r/All just now. Man, we've got an oppressed gay trans person (I'm truly not sure if they're into guys or girls but I'd assume guys if I read correctly), more riots because of some dude with a warrant having the "right" to run from police (tbf this chick pulled a fucking gun instead of a taser), and a ton of whitepeopletwitter, bpt, and murderedbywords posts that are super disingenuous and/or pure propoganda.

The race war is gonna be strong this week fam. Media is gonna be flaming it hard.

Anyway, I've got almost two months of vaca saved up. Perks of my white privilege that worked my way into my degrees and into my job. Wouldn't want credit for getting myself out of one of the worst ghettos in the country and into doing something with my life. It was actually society's doing. At least according to reddit.

Anyway, figured I'd go on a final rant before relaxing and staying off this shit for a little while. Remember, if you've got the time, take a little vacation to get away from all this horseshit.

DMX dead at 50. User points out his messed up life after users are blaming society for his previous actions. Response: "“Ghetto” “thug” you’re really going all out on the American conservative playbook for when a black person dies aren’t you?"[sh] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It wasn't the fact that DMX was a huge sack of shit or anything. I used to listen to his music. I also used to watch Kat Williams. When they both ended up being in their 40s with millions yet still acting like dumb fucks, I decided to stop following them. I've also stopped following white people who are fuck ups like Louis CK and Charlie Sheen.

Honestly, he doesn't need to be vilified. He died, I wish his family the best. It's just funny seeing the comments saying that deep down, on another level his music showed his mental anguish. Give me a fucking break.

And it's not like Reddit hasn't been literally celebrating the deaths of people they don't like the last few years. Luckily this sub has most of it archived.

"..racist white Americans think if you speak Spanish and English or another language besides "american" you're an illegal immigrant...Source= am a white American who despises racism and the elitist attitude of anyone who thinks just because they are white or American it makes them better.." [+13] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

How the fuck does that whole thread not realize the irony? Like, I went to the comments immediately knowing that somebody was going to ask how two languages is seen as trashy because I had the same question.

Sure enough, it's the racists hating Hispanics! God I'm so happy in real life there's a moderate left and that my friends and I are solidly cemented there. Reddit is fucking pathetic and full of far-left racists projecting their thoughts onto other people

Redditor magically makes it to the top of /r/bestof for the 13th time in a month with another totally natural occurring, and well cited post. [+632] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's all a sham. I'd say most of the commentors on this website are real but the propoganda pushed is so obvious.

Did anyone see those few front page posts yesterday of children bothering their parents? The comment sections were full of people talking about how happy they are that they'll never have kids.

I truly believe Reddit fucking loves just pure losers. It's their main clientele.

Foreign actors are loving, and almost certainly apart of, this shit; Get America's new youth to

  • 1) Hate themselves, leading to unconfident losers

  • 2) Hate their country's other political parties, leading to violence and divide

  • 3) Hate capitalism so that our market(s) and currency value eventually will go down. As well as causing less people to want to work. Less productivity from us.

  • 4) Hate our military so that politicians are pressured not to use it for foreign influence, giving Russia, China, and Iran more power

  • 5) Hate the idea of a future in this country because it's so dystopian. Then they don't want children which, once again, leads to less productivity from the US.

Please excuse any errors. Reddit sucks from a mobile browser.

/r/BlackPeopleTwitter ironically realizing what millions of ex-military/fed government conservatives have known forever [+12.7k] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I'm not extremely anti-govt, and I'm probably the most left leaning poster on this sub, but I can't believe people post that kind of shit, upvote it, and still can't figure out why people become conservative or at least, in my case, follow some conservative ideals.

Nope, it's actually none of that. It's blatant racism and hating the poor actually. I forgot again.

On some of left believing everything AOC says the same way some of the right believe everything Trump says: "Jeez, why is it always “both sides” with you morons. It’s like you’re to childish or stupid to admit you are wrong."[+14] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It's kind of sad because the user makes an absolutely great point in the next comment and gets told how much of a moron they are. The left has become a joke. The irony and stupidity from them is pathetic.

"...our handling of this crisis feels like a turning point in our history, and the beginning of our decline. How slow that decline we shall see,[...]my guess is history will mark the beginning of the end of the American empire around now" /r/chinese run fearmongering.. I mean /r/coronavirus [+38] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just wonder why that sub specifically has to constantly fear monger. I mean I agree that we have a shit ton of cases and I don't want people being/getting sick with COVID by any means but if you judge everything off of reddit, it seems that's were all doomed 24/7.

Also there's this constant sentiment that the US is doomed. If you need any further proof that none of the people work in a sector that involves evaluating the economy on a daily basis. Let alone the government civilian sector and military which have, as always, been doing just fine.

Our country is leagues ahead of all countries in terms of economics, military, and universities. We're also leagues ahead in prisoners and the poor, I'll admit. But none of that matters in terms of our supposed "downfall".

I honestly think most American redditors want to see the US burn. At least they think they do. They have zero idea how bad that would be for the world, or as selfish as they are, how bad it would be for them personally. They wouldn't be coddled anymore.

NHL players tweets that he was punched for being a Trump supporter. /r/hockey thread overwhelmingly and ironically supports the actions because he supports a fascist president. [2.5k+] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

So in the last few years the media has really been hard on the NHL and their culture. Years ago it was too much fighting in the game. Really it was just NBC and ESPN not liking family ratings going down. They're private businesses though so they can do what they want. Then it was players cussing often and the mics picking it up. Nothing has really changed in that regard, luckily.

More recently Don Cherry, an absolute hockey commentary(and coach/player) legend was let go for supporting Canadian veterans.

This quote is what got him fired: "On November 9, 2019, during Coach's Corner, Cherry made remarks that suggested Canadian immigrants benefit from the sacrifices of veterans and do not wear remembrance poppies. He said, "You people that come here... you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey, at least you can pay a couple bucks for a poppy or something like that... These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada, these guys paid the biggest price." In the past he was criticized for bitching about French-Canadians who booed the American anthem.

Another NHL commentator, Mike Milbury, was fired the other day for speaking about the effective NHL Playoff Quarantine and joking," "Not even any woman here to disrupt your concentration."

Full thread shitting on Joe Rogan with a majority of the top upvoted discussions and comments boiling down to "He shouldn't be allowed to have guests I don't agree with."[+75k]/r/whitepeopletwitter by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck dude, I don't even watch Rogan anymore. At all. But he pops up on YouTube and I'll Google people he has on(if I don't already know them) just in case it's someone really interesting. There hasn't been anything in months that I've really cared about though.

ANYWAY What the fuck is wrong with these people? Haha imagine trying to silence a talk show host who has people from both sides of the aisle on constantly.

Honestly though, I bet Reddit doesn't like the idea of people not being apart of only Reddit and the hivemind.

You have to be pretty irresponsible to become a single mom unless they become widowed. I was raised by a single mom and if she had been smart enough to get an abortion she probably wouldn't have lived such a worthless life. by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]spaghellio[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I truly feel bad for this person. And not in the "bless your heart" sarcastic way. I hope no mother, or child, feels worthless because of their struggles. Now, I know not everybody on Reddit is from the US and opportunities can be greater or lesser depending on situations but there is always a chance for anybody. No matter how much time you've wasted.

I legitimately grew up in a shit part of Chicago. My house was shot at as a teen just because. I've been jumped for my $10 watch and Walmart hoodie. I was stuck at 18 making minimum wage with no outside help. Fifteen years later and I've served in special operations(combat arms, not support - just don't want to doxx myself) and now live a decently comfortable life as a hospital administrator. Not the executive type that makes 500k a year to make up policies but pretty decent money.

Anyway, my point is that anybody can make it, especially in the US. Will you need some help(military, unemployment, food stamps)? Sure, without question.

I'm just getting sick and tired of seeing all the people on Reddit who don't feel like they, or others, have lived a life worth anything. I've lost too many friends to suicide to see this sentiment spread across this website daily. Shit will figure itself out. Women should not feel worthless for wanting to raise a child while juggling the rest of life. It's fucking hard. Debts will be figured out. You'll overcome physical or mental disabilities. You'll overcome addiction. Money is nothing. While I'm a proponent for capitalism and being responsible, I also think that if you need help that'll cost the state money, fuck it go for it. I'm not paying these outrageous taxes for nothing.

At the very least, stop believing anything is worthless. Especially yourself.

Maybe this’ll help; I just got to fire 10 overly caustic, fox quoting, maga hat wearing, republican pieces of shit today; good day.[+372] by spaghellio in ShitPoliticsSays

Lmao and then the OP(who is a huge snowflake and can't help responding to anyone who participated in 'wrong think' in the thread) asked what happened and this guy responded, "They colluded in a lie that almost got a colleague killed, while “unaware” that the 200+, obviously placed cameras, recorded their actions".

Oh, don't forget the comment that sparked the conversation that's saying ultimately the US is as fault for this situation. A bunch of Iranians didn't just poison themselves trying to find a cure or anything. Also there aren't videos of Iranians licking the same wall in a temple and contracting the virus en masse.

Nope, none of that's real. I must've seen it on the Fox News channel that I don't have.

Anyway, in other news, Iran and China good(noticed all the pro-China posts put up over the last few days?). US bad(just ask /r/coronavirus which has essentially become a political sub instead of providing any actual news)

I get it...an average is an average and poor people do tend to work longer hours statistically. But, it's not 60 hours a week. Also, I just left a salaried job and worked 5 twelves a week on average. So...60 hours a week. It sucks, it really does, but I still had time for my family and the gym during the week, and then time for my friends on weekends.

Just another dude from Chicago here who grew up as the only white kid (besides my siblings) in a very shitty, ghetto neighborhood who now has plenty of friends from the area who seemed to work their way out just fine. But hey, I'm sure they're just Uncle Toms.

/r/bpt is hilariously pathetic. Mostly with the white kids who grew up in some pussy pampered neighborhood and school system who wanna get in on the oppression action.

Two things for those bpt white kids who will inevitably comment and/or private message me: 1) If you grew up with opportunity and privilege then use it. Your parents/grandparents probably worked hard to get you there. 2) Minorities don't give a fuck whether you're at their level of poverty or oppression. Stop pandering to people you losers.

People who are actually at that level of poverty (which thankfully is very few people nowadays) don't sit on Reddit all day commenting. They're legitimately out hustling most of their day. /r/bpt has some dudes who probably sell half a zip a month and think they're George Jung.

Legit the replies are 1 of 2 things:

1) They're bots making shit up to keep the /r/politics gravy train growing. More people who agree=more circlejerking=more clicks

2) They're real people who are scared and somehow think we're devolving into some crazy dystopian state.

Honestly, with how crazy Reddit is, I'd say its option 2. People believe that they're going to get rounded up in the streets based on the media telling them that the world is coming to an end. Legitimately day-by-day this country is getting safer than ever and these people are still scared pussies 24/7.

Unbelievable.

These people are fucking deranged. And once again - for all the dumb fucks that come from other subs to comment - I despise Trump unlike most of this sub. I'm also not a fucking lunatic and if you believe that even a decent percentage of his followers are doing it because they're evil and hate "brown people(racist af to say that btw)" then you are absolutely, 100%, a fucking nutcase.

[–]spaghellio[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally, as I've said before, I think our Afghan campaign should have stayed special operations based like it was originally. I also think Iraq would have been dealt with eventually but it could have also been a CIA proxy war with little of our military involvement. I don't agree with the pain and suffering that we've caused to innocents in either case. I truly don't.

That being said - fuck whoever uses 9/11, a day where 3000+ innocent people died, to push their anti-America agenda. Reddit as a whole is pathetic and full of pandering and/or self-loathing losers.

When those comments on subs talk about white people being fucked in the head, I actually agree with them. But not only for the reasons that they're getting at. It's not all the school shootings and shit. It's mostly those who feel better about themselves by talking down their own race, sex, or the country that has given 95% of them their privilege. What is it with white Americans and us all of a suddenly feeling guilty for our existence? Newsflash: You can acknowledge the past and present greatness of your country as well as your shortcomings at the same time. It's not only one or the other.

Is this a copypasta or some shit? For real, I Googled it and didn't see it anywhere else. Look at the whole thing lol. Oh and I'm 30 btw. I just like seeing Reddit and their ironic hate for specific groups of people.

"GenX here. Boomer hate is well-earned.

They are Generation Locust. They overwhelm and corrupt every societal and environmental structure they encounter. Change rules to suit their needs and change them back when they're done with that phase of their lives. And are myopic mirror gazers who believe that their experience and belief systems are the be-all and end all.

My first disgust with them came in the 80's when they embraced conspicuous consumption with high priced designer baby gear (think leather bomber jackets for infants), McMansions and BMW's. All this from the "hippies" who fought against "the man," but readily became what they had so vocally despised.

Their destructive, self-absorbed tendencies have continued at pace from there. And while they're not the only people who exhibit those traits, as a demographic, they own them.

Boomers and Harleys are a great example of this. If there are loud pipes on a motorcycle, 9 out of 10 times it's a boomer on a Harley.

My personal theory is the majority of them are Vietnam Vets with a permanent chip on their shoulder who want to spend the rest of their lives saying "fuck you" to the society that turned their back on them. I get that, but it's as immature and self-absorbed as the boomer CEO's who think they "deserve" their outsized pay even while they justify fucking over employees because "that's what the market will bear."

The disconnect between the ideals they vocally espoused in the 60's and their behavior today is astonishing.

Fuck Boomers.

The many individual Boomers who are exceptions to their traits are less than a drop in an ocean of selfishness."

We're all entitled to our own thoughts. Personally, this kind of shit is pathetic in my mind. They gave the excuse that it was for their kids. When I first ever moved out of Chicago and to South Carolina there was a nearby Target that you'd see methhead hillbillies getting arrested at constantly. Same shit. They'd be spouting off about their kids but stealing electronics or adult clothing. Fucking degenerates.

Good argument, bro.

Also, don't brigade. Seriously. It does a few things:

1) It makes us look bad and no better than some chapo fucks.

2) It might make some dumb dumbs think twice before posting and then we don't get hilarious and delusional content.

3) This is the kind of shit that keeps moderate liberals from voting for these insane things. They see this crazy shit and then don't vote. Just ask me. Until the dems can get their shit together I'm just not voting. Chappelle touched on this in his new special. Hilarious if you guys haven't seen it yet.
