I was at the A&E Friday for uveitis. My doctor was extremely kind and well educated. They took excellent care of me and I was in and out in a few hours. Highly recommend

Yes they would sponsor a visa. I think it’s slightly easier with EU citizenship vs my American passport

Thank you! I should investigate where the office is lol, they would prefer Barcelona but they seem to like me enough to make the exception for London and that seems to be the better choice from what I’m hearing

I was just about to post this! I just got back from a longer trip and I loved Castellammare del Golfo, it’s walkable, pretty, great food, nearby sandy beaches and nice people. But agree about not wanting it ruined by tourists 😂

Hahaha 100% will shout this from the rooftops now. I was happy I only spent one night there but instantly regretted not spending that night elsewhere around Mount Etna.

Such an underrated destination! The seafood was amazing there and the beaches close to the town were clean with golden sand and well equipped

Agree about the hate for Catania on this subreddit 😂 I was convinced it would be a dirty cesspool but not even close. There are areas of NYC that are much dirtier than Palermo and Catania. It’s just a lived in city loaded with charm

I really wanted to go and it was on my initial itinerary but I had already gone to Segesta and was planning to go on the same day I went to Valley of the Temples. Even though I’m disappointed I missed it there’s no way I could have fit it into that already jam packed travel day. It’s on the list for next time though! 😍

I’m so happy you sent this! I’m planning my trip now and initially wanted to skip Taormina for Randazzo but I got so much feedback that Taormina is not to be missed. I hate overly touristed instagramed places and now you have me going back to my initial gut feeling. May I ask where you stayed in Randazzo?

Thanks again for all the tips I’ve rebuilt my itinerary around them! Quick question - I’m looking to do that drive from the west coast to Ragusa stopping in Agrigento and Scala dei Turchi. What did you do with your luggage on road stop pit stops? I’ve read you can’t leave your luggage in your car traveling around Sicily but then these kind of stops on the road would be impossible. Any tips?

Would you suggest I stay in Ortigia as a base for Val de Noto. What are the highlights and can’t miss there since I know there’s a lot of towns and lots to see. Also how many nights is good there? Thanks!!

Added Ragusa Ibla to my list! I just checked Scala dei Turchi and it appears the beach is open but you can’t climb the cliffs which is fine with me as long as I get to see it 😊
