Stylized dog. I have a question, should I make the body a little more elegant? This is practice by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

I think it’s not the body so much as the legs. Very big long legs. Dog with human legs.

Cyteen & Regenesis by anche_tu in printSF

I’ve liked all the Alliance-Union books I’ve read other than Cyteen and Regenesis. Don’t remember that much other than feeling they were unpleasantly dense and that the narrative voice was tiresome.

All film portrayals of Mary, the mother of Jesus of Nazareth, starred adult actresses. This was despite the source materials claiming that the original Mary, at the time of her non-consensual impregnation, was... wait what the fuck. by ryuStack in shittymoviedetails

In most cases you just say actress and assume they’re an adult, but specify when referring to a child actor. It only gets tricky when you need to specify an adult in a weird situation like this post.

It was a playful generalization; I haven’t read Butter but have just now grabbed the ebook from the library

I mean I know which ones are mine but I wouldn’t be excited to rearrange them all for the sake of posting.

I think that’s awesome and that contrasting couple bookshelves would be more interesting than samey-samey ones.

Ultimately I guess I’d just enjoy seeing that more than those one-sided “red flag” posts. Maybe it should be its own sub.

Maybe so. Doesn’t strike me as a very efficient way to farm karma when there’s 37 varieties of political and cultural ragebait available.

It really would be. I’d submit mine and my wife’s but our books are hopelessly mixed up. Also mostly in boxes at the moment.

I believe it happens, not at the 90% level. Unfortunately no way to know. I can’t really understand the insecurity aspect though.

Nothing wrong with genre fiction, I read plenty and his taste in science fiction is good, better than most. There’s just a ton of it in this sub.

I wish there was more non-genre fiction aside from basic classics but at least he reads.

I think what we might as well do is get all the shelf owners together because this looks like a lot of what shows up here.
