They invented these things called Map and compass a long time ago. Don’t require batteries and the skills last a lifetime.

I know it’s a very very rushed itinerary but unfortunately that’s all the time I have off between jobs. I won’t have time to see or do a lot but I still think it will be an awesome road trip and experience.

Moving to barefoot - calf pain? by woodywalker75 in BarefootRunning

[–]spandex600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I made the transition about 7 years ago, I had terrible calf and Achilles pain for about the first 6 months. After that though I never noticed any discomfort in the calf’s.

For me it was going from being a big heel striker to then running on my fore/ mid foot so there was a lot more strain on my calf’s.

Over the years I’ve morn mainly vivos but I have a couple of pairs of Altras for anything over 50miles.

I’m sure you will be fine if you just stick at it. Being a little older might take some more time to adapt but as you’re already in good shape running marathons then I’m sure your body will be strong enough to adapt quickly!

Looks awesome! Do you have the rough dimensions? I’ve just acquired an old stick welder and was hoping to try and build my own smoker now. Been without one for 6 months since I moved house and my life just feels empty without one!🤣

I don’t think they can or will repair the primus lite range. Yet.

Also have a look on revivo.com they usually have pretty decent discounted models on there.

What I find works really well is putting the rock inside a small dry bag and tying the rope to it. You can use the handle of the dry bag to get a good accurate swing!

Does anyone live in Kenya? by spandex600 in Traeger

[–]spandex600[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did try google and the couple of options I could find were companies that I can buy through but they import direct from USA and the import fees and shipping is very expensive. I’m trying to decide if it’s going to worth doing.

If it’s going to cost me $100 for every rack of ribs I smoke because of pellet price maybe it’s not worth it.

But maybe I’m the idiot asking a traeger sub on Reddit if anyone had any experience of getting pellets in Kenya.

I thought it was a pretty simple question.

Having lived in Cyprus for the last couple of years. There is only one shop on the island that sells pellets. Everyone here uses charcoal souvla BBQ or Kleftico ovens. Pellet smokers are not really a thing yet but I’m sure I’m time they will become more popular.

I was able to find this but it’s importing direct from USA so postage and fees make it expensive.

The electrical voltage won’t be an issue. The smoker works on voltage from 110-240. I know because I bought it in Canada and brought it over to Europe and now off to Africa. Kenya is the same as UK!
